Look for an air tight nylon. Ensure it is air tight. Pour the rice in it and make sure tightened and no air can enter. You can use multiple air tight nylon to achieve this. If there is no oxygen for the weavels to breath they would die . That's how beans and maize are protect d from insects. Or you can sieve sand and get the finest granules that is like dust.mix it with the rice and put in preferably air sealed nylon just as above. If the weavels breath, they breath in dust and die. Just when you want to eat the rice you have to sieve again and wash the dust off before cooking. |

wree91:Thanks, the challenge why i don't want to go with rice is the cost of irrigation during the dry season. The land is not water logged during dry season, it is only water logged with continuous rain (rainy season). |
Hello farmers in house, i am a fresh graduate who has 4 acres of land i wish to go into farming on. However i have a challenge, the farm land is always waterlogged whenever it rains. During dry season the farm land is absolutely fine. Please i need suggestions on anything that can be planted that would be best suitable for the waterlogged farm land and also survive well during dry season. I would sincerely appreciate all suggestions. |
