ValCon888: Back in medieval times the pope was extremely powerful. In fact, he was the most powerful man in the world.
He exerted supremacy over kings through divine right and was a kingmaker and a king destroyer.
It was because of the pope's vast power that King Henry the Eight broke England away from thr Catholicism and started the Anglican church.
Current popes may not be as powerful as back in the day. But they still hold great influence which is what you see today. You're very correct, but for your third paragraph that isn't entirely accurate. |

I school in Oju and I know everything about the place. His people are dying of scarcity yet he can't fix this perennial problem. Same story every year. Look at the otukpo-Obi-Oju road , what is been done? No provoke me o. I have blasted this man very well. I called him sometime ago and lambasted him. He's a fake evangelist deceiving people with the people. He may not be doing much at the moment, but he's close to the people, to say the least. Being close to them is one of the ways to empathize with their condition and make concrete plans to remedy their situation. It may not be easy for him given that the previous administrations performed so poorly. However, there is no doubt he can make positive impact on the life of his people. |
