Keeping every member of the family sharp and nourished is a full-time job on its own. But I’ve mastered the art of planning healthy, delicious and brain-boosting meals for every day of the week. Meal planning is my superpower — I sit down every Sunday night with a notebook, and I write out a plan for the week ahead. I shop smartly, freeze soups in portions, and prep veggies in ziplocks. And it always works. I’ve noticed the difference in our family — Dami’s focus has improved. Zara is growing with endless curiosity, and even daddy says his memory is sharper. As for me, I don’t get brain fog anymore. Consistent healthy eating will improve the waistline and the mind. Ibadan, the heartbeat of Oyo State, is agog with jubilation as the ancient city prepares to possibly welcome one of its most illustrious sons, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, as the next Olubadan. Following the passing of Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, the revered 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, all eyes are now on the former governor, who stands next in line according to tradition. The End of an Era: Oba Owolabi Olakulehin Joins His Ancestors On Monday, July 7, 2025, Ibadan was plunged into mourning following the death of Oba Owolabi Olakulehin. The monarch, aged 90, had just celebrated his birthday two days prior and marked one year on the throne. Installed officially on July 12, 2024, Oba Olakulehin succeeded the late Oba Lekan Balogun. Despite his brief reign, he left an indelible mark, continuing the tradition and stabilizing the institution. With his passing, the throne of the Olubadan is now vacant, triggering the established succession process rooted deeply in Ibadan’s traditional system. A Unique System of Succession Unlike other traditional monarchies across Nigeria where heredity or royal bloodlines often determine who becomes king, Ibadan’s system is democratic and merit-based. The Olubadan title rotates between two chieftaincy lines: the civil and military lines. Advancement within the lines is determined by seniority, perseverance, and long-term commitment to community service. Currently, Senator Rashidi Ladoja holds the prestigious title of Otun Olubadan, the most senior chief in the civil line... See SOURCE for more ✅ 👉 https:///3959e2wj

The final curtain may have dropped for former Senator Ben Murray-Bruce’s prized business asset — the Silverbird Entertainment Centre in Abuja. Once a symbol of success, influence, and the Nigerian entertainment boom, the luxurious Abuja mall is now listed for sale by the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) as part of efforts to recover a long-standing debt running into billions of naira. Many have viewed this as a dramatic twist in the tale of Nigeria’s Common-Sense advocate — a former lawmaker, business mogul, and media entrepreneur who often prided himself on promoting Nigeria with the tagline, “I just want to make common sense.” Well, in the eyes of AMCON, his common sense math simply were not adding up. What inside sources are telling me from the Aso Rock presidential villa in Abuja is pretty sensational. It's a known fact that there are three strong voting blocs in Nigeria, namely; the APC/Buhari/Tinubu bloc, the PDP/Atiku bloc and the Obidient bloc. Surprisingly, two-thirds of the voting bloc have been swallowed by the new bride in town, the ADC; thus leaving just a half bloc for PDP and APC/Tinubu, respectively. This situation is said to be very troubling to the President's handlers. The Rift Within: Tinubu and the Buhari Camp on Opposite Sides The signs are now obvious. There’s a growing unease within Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). The fragile relationship between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and key loyalists of former President Muhammadu Buhari has fractured — perhaps beyond repair. From ex-ministers and northern political heavyweights to former governors who stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Buhari during his eight years in power, many are now not-so-quietly distancing themselves from Tinubu’s government. But this isn’t just about internal party squabbles — it could redraw the entire 2027 presidential race. Let me break down what’s fueling this split, what it means for the future of the APC, and why Peter Obi might be smiling from a distance over Tinubu's troubles. Why Buhari Loyalists Are Jumping Ship 1. Feeling Marginalized By Tinubu One of the loudest complaints coming from Buhari’s camp is simple but powerful: they feel sidelined. Despite playing foundational roles in forming the APC and bringing Tinubu to power, many Buhari-era power brokers claim they are now locked out of major decisions in the party and governance. From the appointment of ministers to the inner workings of Tinubu’s economic team, these CPC (Congress for Progressive Change) loyalists say they are being treated like outsiders. Politicians like Nasir El-Rufai, Abubakar Malami, and Aminu Tambuwal —once influential voices — have left the APC for good. The result? Many have started aligning themselves with the opposition coalition ADC, particularly because they are now aware that Peter Obi has what it takes to defeat Tinubu, even in his strongest base, Lagos. The presidency should remain in the South for another 4 years, so supporting whoever emerges is the wise thing to do |
After three frustrating years, Nigerian bank customers holding Naira debit cards can once again access global platforms, thanks to the recent decision by UBA and Wema Bank to resume international transactions. I can tell you that this development is indeed a game-changer, especially for the growing number of Nigerian youths who rely on digital tools, subscription services, online learning platforms, and global e-commerce. Let me first break down the full implications of this return; with regards to what it means for small businesses and everyday people. Why Were International Transactions Suspended in the First Place? Recall that around 2020–2022, most Nigerian banks — including the biggest players like GTBank, Zenith, Access Bank, and others — placed restrictions on the use of Naira-denominated cards for international payments. The reasons most of them gave then were tied to the country’s economic struggles: Severe foreign exchange (FX) scarcity Depreciating value of the Naira Multiple exchange rate regimes Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) tightening of FX allocations to banks In a bid to safeguard Nigeria’s dwindling FX reserves, the CBN had limited the amount banks could allocate to international card transactions. This made it nearly impossible to use regular Naira cards to shop on platforms like Amazon, pay for subscribe to Netflix, or even handle medical emergencies abroad. Many Nigerians had to rely on dollar cards, domiciliary accounts, or shady black-market FX sources for international payments — a stressful and expensive workaround. The Big News from UBA and Wema In a refreshing shift, UBA and Wema Bank have made independent announcements confirming that Naira cards can now be used for international transactions again. 🟥 UBA’s Announcement In a notice to its customers, United Bank for Africa (UBA) said: “We are pleased to inform you that all UBA Premium Naira Cards, including Gold, Platinum, and World variants are now enabled for international transactions.” 🟪 Wema Bank’s Statement Wema Bank joined in, announcing: “Your Wema Naira Mastercard just went global! Now you can pay in dollars on all your favourite international platforms; Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, Netflix, Spotify, YouTube.” What this means is that customers can now shop, subscribe, and spend in USD — all with their regular Naira cards. Splendid! The Benefits: Why This is a Big Deal for Nigerians I can say for a fact that this resumption is not just a financial policy shift, but a huge win for digital inclusion. Let me show you how this change empowers individuals and businesses alike. 1. E-Commerce Made Simple Now, anyone with a UBA or Wema Naira card can conveniently shop from Amazon, AliExpress, eBay, and other global stores without needing to jump through hoops or open a dollar account. This opens up the Nigerian market to global goods, from gadgets to fashion, and even business tools that were previously difficult to access. 2. Seamless Digital Subscriptions From Netflix and Spotify to YouTube Premium and Apple iCloud, many Nigerians have long been locked out of digital convenience. But with these changes: No more relying on friends abroad for subscription payments. No more expensive gift card workarounds. Just link your Naira card, and you’re set. This also supports local creators and remote workers who need premium services to grow their content, manage cloud storage, and stay competitive. 3. Better Access to Global Health Services Medical emergencies don’t give warnings — and sometimes, local healthcare isn’t enough. A number of Nigerians had found it impossible to pay for: * Online medical consultations with international doctors * Medical test results or diagnoses from foreign labs * Hospital deposits or emergency treatments abroad Now, paying for these critical services directly is easier, thanks to the restored card functionality. PDP is tearing apart without focus, Wike has vowed to remain in PDP but support Tinubu for the 2027 election. A once rulling party? With the ADC Coalition, no real politician with National clout is left in the PDP. They party has sadly lost its glory of the Obasanjo days |
How can Wike say there is nothing like COALITION when only Peter Obi and Obidient Movement defeated APC and PDP in 2023, if not for the massive rigging? Even in Rivers State Obi defeated Wike to the extent that they started chasing people away from voting centres just for Wike to be able to rig for Tinubu. So there is Coalition, and it's a big deal |
The internet has changed a lot and people need good training, especially those who are new, to make a reasonable income online |
