I went to visit mine sometimes ago, not my real mum though, my step mom, lost my mum and m dad married again, because we still very little when she passed, but you wouldn't know if no one told you, she raised us and did a good job, she love us like kilode, u won't know different between us and my step siblings, she made sure she sent money on weekly basis wile I was in school, calls me daily to check on me like I was still a little boy ,😅

I don't think it's a trick, I feel that's the way mothers are wired.

On weekends and some other days, I go home to check on my parents, and most of the time, I'll buy fruit for my mom. But it doesn't matter how much I spend on it, she will always find the time to give me food before I head out.

I’ve spent a long time trying to understand why mothers behave this way, and I've come to realize it's unconditional love in its purest form.
