Please I have some few questions.

1. Please kindly recommend good affordable hotel around the Lagos US Embassy possibly a trekking distance because Interview time is 6:30am. Or can one get public transport or a reliable transport service very early so as to get there by at least 6am?

2. Anyone with F3 interview transcript? Please kindly share if you don't mind 🙏 @aiguobs @leanonme82 @ anyone that can respond please

3. What if I can't provide any pictures especially with petitioner because of lost phones and datas recently... will there be any issues?

Sorry for the late response. Been swamped with work. I stayed at Beni’s apartment. It’s 30k a night. It’s about 10mins from the embassy. For F3, they basically want you to prove relationship with your petitioner. In my case , my husband was the main applicant. They only asked who petitioned for him, why he is going this late, while his brothers were already in the us, then they asked my kids questions like age and stuff.it was so quick. Nothing to stress about. Wish you luck.

They'll likely send you to another officer. who is basically recording your details with us is to document that you e arrived in the country.

Hi please can i confirm how much the green card is for each person cos im seeing $1500 to submit the i485 form and my eyes are turningonitsown.
So if a family of 4 relocated is that $1500 for each person?

The green card is 235 dollars per person. I paid 1410 for a family of 6 with my access bank visa gold card.

https://egov.uscis.gov/ Enter the receipt number generated after you paid and it will inform you of the status. Either that they’ve received your payment, ordered that your card be produced, or shipped the card to you with an estimated date of arrival.

USCIS uses regular USPS , nothing like tracking. Just keep watch at the address as long as the address is where you are or ppl can keep your mails

No, i don't think you can do that. I think the payment must be made from a U.S. bank. You can only pay with a card issued by a U.S. bank or use other payment methods, such as paying in person at an authorized location..

Don't take my word for it though. You can still do your own digging. I could be wrong.

Booked appointment for today because I travelled from Benin City to Lagos.

Its been one long journey and I finally got my F3 visa (formally F1 but I got married and pivoted).

I was documentarily qualified Oct 2024.
I was sent the interview appointment in Sep 2025 for an interview in Nov 2025.
Got my mail for document review Oct 21st
Did my medical on the 24th.
Did my document review Nov 4th and had my interview the week after.

On the document review date, i went along with all my physical documents even though some had not been uploaded beforehand (I didnt think i could upload after documentarily qualified, so our attestation of births we recently did weren't scanned on my CEAC account, my new passport page was not uploaded, and i had not scanned in any photos as evidence of relationship). I got an incomplete on my document review for this, even though i showed the documents physically to the document review officer. She added the photo evidences to the sealed folder and told me to upload everything on my account before the interview, which i did (I went through the pink sheet religiously and uploaded every single relevant item i had not uploaded before. The list is so much more comprehensive than the one given by NVC).

Interview date was nerve-racking but i was confident cos i had all my original documents complete. My husband said we're the only ones with bag of folders and albums while everyone else went in with just their sealed folders. I said we will carry it all in cos na me dey give incomplete o, i cant look at anyone elses face.

Script: They asked my little kid how are you, do you know this people? Lol. They also asked where we live and my baby mentioned our city in the UK (We have skilled worker visas in the UK and had to travel home for this interview). They asked who petitioned for me, where do they live, and how long have they lived there? I explained. They went through all our documents one after the other. They asked about my study in the UK when going through photos of my dad and I at my graduation. Went through wedding, birth, vacations, naming ceremony photos. My dad was in every milestone lol (Love him ).
I was asked about what my dad does. I stated this. The interviewer said they wanted to go through something on the computer and kept us on hold for a while.
And they came back and said congratulations and gave us the sheet for collection.

After the interview, went on the CEAC visa status and was tracking this daily but it wasn't showing my details, just came up with 'no results'. I was surprised when someone said here they could view it immediately after their interview, so i went back to the status tracker and then entered 'NA' in the surname and passport number and then my details came up and i saw that the visa was already issued for over a week.

Thanks to everyone that helped in answering questions on this thread. From answering my medical appointment questions and the documents I needed to get. I got a lot of information from this thread. Many thanks.

Haa, mine is not even showing administrative processing at all. It just keeps saying 'no results'. Is it the CEAC visa status tracker you were using?

Go to the ceac website, click immigrant visa status, put your LGS number, in the other spaces were passport no and name is required, put NA. Put the Catcha then click enter.you will see your status. When it says issued, go to the IOS website, click on us visa , input pickup and passport no. It will show if it’s ready for pick up or not.

Hi sorry to disturb, please can i ask how long from the interview date before the tracker showed that visa was issued? I just want to have an idea of number of days.

Also if you check the OIS website, there are other pickup locations across Nigeria, not just Lagos and Abuja. So you might have one in your city, but youll have to pay for the service for them to take it to that branch.

Had my interview on the 13th of November, showed administrative processing on the 14th, showed issued on the 17th which was on Monday, then ready for pickup on the 20th of November.

Please I want to ask is there any way IOS can deliver my passport to me instead of traveling to Lagos? I already scheduled an appointment, but I want it delivered instead. Thanks

I opened an account on the AVITZ page, the page the link takes you to, but it doesn’t bring up anywhere to update phone number and email, as instructed on the sheet.

hi, after interview, please did you open an online account anywhere before you collected your passport back.

I opened but I discovered that all you have to do is to track your passport on the CEAC website. When it shows issued, you go to the OIS website put in your passport no. When it shows that it is ready for pick up, you book an appointment then go for pick up. At least that is what I am doing.

Good evening guys, I'm on F24 here in America, new arrived, but I was told by my petitioner I will get the green card automatically, but av been seeing I av to pay USCIS migration fee before they send it.
Please guys enlighten me on this. Cos. Av argue with my petitioner about this.

You will have to pay the sum of 220 dollars before you can get your green card. It would have been better if you paid it here in Nigeria before you travelled to reduce your wait time when you get to the US.

So, I did my road test about 3 weeks ago and mistakenly failed at the last step. The examiner wasn't in the car with me, she put a 2 way camera on my dashboard, one pointing to the road and the other inside the car. All she had to do was call my phone to give me directions on where to go and what to do. I had an adult with a driver's license sit on the passenger side with me without talking to me or making any hand gestures. That's the rule.

I had already completed the test, as I was about to enter the office building where the test began, unfortunately, I drove through the sign that says "do not enter" I drove through it because it was not properly placed. I appealed but they refused.

Yesterday, I went again for the test at a different location and passed it despite several mistakes. This time around the examiner sat with me in the car and he was very lenient with his judgement and acessment.

I didn't drive in Nigeria, I just recently started learning to drive about a month ago in the US here, so you can understand how excited I am to pass it. I know a guy who's driven in Nigeria for years yet failed the road test twice. On one occasion he didn't even get to get on the road because he ran over the cones while attempting parallel parking and reverse bay parking.

From what I have observed, the document review is usually scheduled for 10days to the interview date.

Don't forget to print the receipt of payment from your CEAC account. I forgot to print a receipt and those printer guys in front of the street charged me 3k for 1 page.

Just ignore those guys and have all your documents. When u get inside the embassy. They'll tell you the order to arrange the documents.

I did mine today. The only thing was that I was told to take another passport photograph because the one I used before was more than six months old.apart from that everything was fine.
