When your appointment date arrives, it takes exactly one month from the day the email lands in your inbox to the AD date. After that, the timeline is not fixed for AM(Approval). From late last year, it has been 4 weeks, but I've seen 2 week, and even 3 weeks this year. Remember, it used to be 3 months around October. The coming of you AM depends on your city. If everything goes well, then expect it in July.

My advice is to book your flight when AD arrives.

The latest i've seen today is 5th of July. I've not met people that booked from 6th to the 9th, but 10th of July didn't get.

Please can you explain this? because from the look of things, this person will get an appointment this year. Why not apply for winter 2024/25 and then start school by October 2024? Please clarify me.

Hello guys !! I booked an Ap july 13th 2022
From look of things my Ad will be around march or April this year.
Problem is i have an appointment with the Austrian embassy for legalization of my documents on feb 21th this month and this process will take about 8 to 12 weeks b4 i will be handed back my documents.
What if i submit my documents at the Austrian embassy and my Ad comes up can i go for my interview without my original documents?

Depends on the course. Most schools have started their application for winter. Just few has ended and some will end on 1st of March

It's meant to be the 30th, but I've seen 22nd to 28th so far. I'm confident it was the 30th today. Next week will be July

If I go for appointment by march will I be asked to book my flight during that time or I will wait till my resumption time. Second question is. Will my visa be issued before that September or till my resumption time. Pls I need clarification.

What I mean is that let’s say embassy gives me acceptance letter or visa to study in Germany.

Can I get there and defer my admission and enroll to another school for another course?

Please I wanted to register for a long term visa (CAT B) but in one of the box they asked about ""beginning of my study visit"" and I just applied for an admission Yesterday for Winter semester 2024/2025.

My question now is should I register for a Visa now or should I live it till I have gained an admission?

Th AD given is 10 days every friday. Calculate it that way.


For the moving, the embassy only gives max of 4 weeks extension. Most times, it's 2 weeks. People without admission should just cancel and create space if they can't make it.

Check the embassy response below for this same issue last week

This is her predicament. Applications starting in march will not give admission until April or may. Some even give admissions when applications are over. The current AD date is June 13. We'll be at June 23 this Friday. His/her AD is 100% coming next month. So unless it's a private school, O tilo
