2. The year did not start particularly well for Messi, who looked on as Cristiano Ronaldo lifted the Ballon d'Or while the press questioned his relationship with Luis Enrique. In Argentina, meanwhile, criticisms continued for his World Cup performance.

3. On February 15 La Pulga played his 300th Liga match. To celebrate, he racked up a hat-trick to take down Levante.

4. Rayo Vallecano were the victims on March 8 as Messi netted the quickest treble of his professional career. The No. 10 needed just 12 minutes to reach the tally.

5. It was a big year in terms of goal for Messi. In April, Leo was on target against Valencia to mark his 400th strike in Barca colours.

6. On May 6, Messi made all of Europe stand up and pay attention after leaving Jerome Boateng sitting in a Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich on his way to a magical goal.

7. The 2014/15 Liga title winged its way to Barcelona in a tense clash at the Vicente Calderon. Messi was once more on target with a goal to overcome Atletico Madrid and secure the trophy.

8. Despite his failure to hit the net, Messi was one of the best players in the final of the Champions League, as Barcelona slipped past Juventus to take perhaps the most coveted crown of the year.

2015 was a great year for music and it is without an ounce of doubt that several good albums dropped that year. It is a new year and a new opportunity for several artists to get it right and drop their much anticipated albums.

While some artists failed to drop their much talked about artist in 2015, we expect them to come true with their promise and drop the albums in this year. Today, we take a slight look at some of the top artists who we expect an album from in 2016.

1. Wizkid

Wizkid is one of the biggest names when it comes to music in Nigeria. Since Wizkid left his former label, E.M.E he has promised us an album more than once, but is yet to deliver on that promise.

Wizkid already has two albums and revealed his next album would be an international album that would propel his career into the international scene and give him the worldwide fame he craves for badly. Wizkid has revealed some big names he will work with on his album and they include Angelique Kidjo, Chris Brown and possibly Drake who last year jumped on his ‘Ojuelegba’ song.

2. Davido

Davido is one of Africa’s biggest acts and he had a great 2015 giving us back to back his tracks that thrilled his fans. Like Wizkid, Davido promised us an album in 2015 but failed to deliver on the promise but we are not mad at him at all as we know the delay is for the best.

Davido already has almost completed work on his much anticipated Sophomore album which has been hinted to feature Trey Songz, Akon, Meek Mill et al. The album’s title has been revealed to be ‘O.B.O Baddest’, and we can’t wait for it to drop.

3. Lil Kesh

Olamide’s prodigy, Lil Kesh is one of the biggest names in Nigerian Hip-Hop scene today. Lil Kesh whose real name is Ololade Keshinro took the industry by storm when he dropped Lyrically and quickly followed it up with Shoki and Shoki remix which featured Davido quickly became an household name.

Since then, Lil Kesh has been dropping hit dancehall songs back to back and rumor has it that he even had to stall his album for Olamide’s latest album titled ‘Eyan Mayweather’. Lil Kesh already kicked off 2016 by dropping a new street anthem titled ‘Ibile’. We’re pretty sure Lil Kesh’s album will drop sometime this year and we can’t wait. `

4. Chidinma

Chidinma Ekile popularly known as Ms. Kedike is one of the top rated female singers in the country today. Despite her not having a great 2015 musically, it appears that Chidinma already has plans to deliver to her fans better music in 2016 and most likely an album.

An album in 2016 is the least of what Ms. Kedike owes her fans in 2016.
