Politics / Is President Tinubu's System Of Economic Governance Been Misunderstood by Akamon(m): 8:31pm On Aug 01, 2023
Are Nigerians unaware of President Tinubu's chosen style of economic system or is the nation citizenry uninformed?
I think the above subject matter needs immediate clarification so that the current government can either do more to educate Nigerians on their adopted economy model chosen or bring it to a halt if Nigerians cannot take the economic system practiced.
I believe Nigerians have repeatedly heard over media platforms about Free Market economy since the current government came on board. This have shown that the model style of economic system practiced by the government is a Capitalist System Economy or what is known as Free Market economy.

Let's take a look at what this meant

Capitalist System
This is the most predominant economic system practiced in the world today(Though absent in major part of Africa). In this system, the capital is privately owned and distributed and distribution mechanism is left to the market to allocate the resources.

Going by the “Invisible Hand” of Adam Smith that guides the allocation of resources, it is deemed that the market does a good job of determining which sectors receive the capital and how much.

According to laissez faire mode of capitalism the state has minimal responsibility in the economic system and is seen as a “hands off” player rather than being interventionist. The state is expected to have regulatory mechanisms in place and ensure that the market corrections are supervised and the state steps in whenever there is a crisis of liquidity or other market failures.

This system is highly driven by
1. A profit driven system because of the international transaction involvement (Foreign Direct Investment & Foreign Portfolio Investment),
2. Market forces driven by demand and supply
3. Government interventions and not involvement.

In lieu of the above clarification Nigerians needs to come to terms that the previously practiced socialist System of economic Model where Government is involved in the market system, price fixing and subsidy provision is no longer in vogue.
This is the model of practice that has been able to unite the European Union, North America Free Trade Agreement. It's an economic model that China and other Asian nations are currently practicing and has made them a global integrated economic States.

This new economic model adopted by Mr. President will pursue the followings as a Free market;
1. Removal of Subsidies in critical areas that is impoverishing the nation (This will cause a short term hardship because of were we are coming from).
2. The revenue generated will be plunged back into the system to improve Agriculture, education, health care and other hard infrastructure provision instead of going to borrow to sustain the economy and been declared a non attractive and non loan worthy as was done during the socialist System.
3. Education and Trade reforms
4. Globalization will automatically be incorporated as it's one of the benefits of a Free Market economy.
5. Its speculated that Free Market economy works hand in hand with security because a nations boundary (Close System) is eroded because of the economic integration. Security might be tackled because of the huge foreign investment and spread of wealth.

I believe the above will provide a little insight to the system of economy we are currently practicing and not been misled by ignorance.
We have to face the current reality
Politics / A Nation On The Path To Greatness by Akamon(m): 10:03pm On Jul 23, 2023
NATION ON PATH TO GREATNESS

Though the short term effect is overbearing and compared to a hellish life to the common man. This is how the state of our Nation currently stands and how Nigerians sees the president reform policy framework.
The above is so because, where we Nigerians are coming from is a place of extreme comfort (likened to "heaven on earth" ), a place of subsidy across board though it's a common practice across the globe comparatively but more of a selected and targeted interventions unlike ours that is more like that of a socialist country.
The listed below is what I think necessitated Mr. Presidents actions in the nation's recent economic reforms.

Nigeria State of Economy:

Nigeria total Revenue generation in recent
time (2022) stands at an average N6Trillion (Oil and Non Oil combined) and her debt servicing stands at around N5T, leaving nothing for the nation to stand on.
The Former president (Mohammadu Buhari) desperately want to leave a positive mark behind and to do something for the nation goes out all out cap in hand to secure loans to keep the nation floating and to stay alive .
His decision kept increasing our debt burden so as to provide and resolve the following National needs;
1. Pay for Subsidy worth N4-5T(Sea freight cost, land transport cost and other overheads)
2. Subsidize Forex to the tune of N4T yearly to meet Nigeria yearning for importation and keeping Forex down at N450+/$.(During Emefieles regime)
3. Payment of salary to meet the nation worker's needs.
4. Drive the budget capital implementation and others (We were completely living on borrowed money)

Putting the fuel subsidy, the Forex subsidy, debt servicing and listed others together puts Nigeria as an un attractive country that is heavily burden by debt
This situation kept Foreign Portfolio Investors and FDI abay and makes the nation look unattractive.

This is what gave rise to the reforms currently going on by Mr. President.
It's quite a tough decision by Mr. President and a difficult peel to swallow by the poor masses but in all we can't see the nation going down like our sister countries like Zimbabwe, Venezuela and one-time like broke Greece.
Only a political willed politician who is not afraid to see his ratings go down but to see the nation grow can carry out this reforms.
What we need now and believe the President will be planning to implement is
1. Interventions like supply of fuel by NNPCL from the Nations fuel reserve to IPMAN at a lesser price to bring down or maintain the price around N500- 550.
2. Maintain forex interventions to stabilize the free market and preventing Naira fall not to go above N750-800.
3. Subsidize CNG engine installation to reduce transport cost and food cost.
4. Removal of tax from any machine needed for CNG machine installation.
5. Provide suitable environment for modular refinery and gas companies investment.
6. From the excess fund to be generated, loans at a single digit rate be provided for modular refinery, transport bus manufacturers and assembly plant and CNG investors.
7. A price regulatory and enforcement agency be instituted immediately.

The above and so many other interventions if rapidly pursued like it's done by the paramedics working to safe lifes in the field are implemented, this will make our nation great again.
Tinubu is on the right path and needs all our prayers and support no matter how we hate him.

Samirana360:
The northerners are playing politics well.... if apc brings out a southerner then all of them wil run to atiku....they believe leadership is their birthright

Why the extreme fear for the North. The North can't win an election without the southern region, the North only capitalizes on Southern disunity to win elections. When will the southern youths and their politicians discuss on forging way forward for unity amongst themselves and lobby North Central that are always the deciding factor in any election in Nigeria. Atiku has die hard folowership, same goes for Tinubu. Why can't the South Easterners/South South/South West adopt the southern candidate that might likely be the presidential card carrier from the south. Instead of trying to run a fellow southerner down and at the same time holding a northerner in high exteme and fear.
You guy's should grow up, stop living in fear of the North and start working the statistics of Nigerian political sphere
Politics / Re: Adeyeye: I Won’t Be Shocked If Another Northerner Succeeds Buhari In 2023 by Akamon(m): 10:07am On Dec 06, 2021
Power is meant to shift to the South and to a Christian but SS & SW has taken their turn leaving SE. The country at current is not ready to relinquish power to South East( it's based on trust issues).
The Power might return to the North (NE is ruled out) NC and NE are eligible but NC is more favored because religion have a role to play. In NC( Kogi, Nassarawa, Niger & Kwara are deficient with known Christian top politician widely known nationwide) leaving Benue and Plateau.
SW & SS can lay claim for the seat of presidency based on NE (Katsina State) 2 times presidential slot claim. Will only succeed if SE will shield their sword from the betrayal by SS & SW from denying them the seat and NC agrees to SOUTH superior negotiation.

Verdict: NE, NW will back NC. SE will be disappointed with the South and back NC because they might be given Vice presidential seat. SS will have no choice but to follow the trend in support of NC and battle for Senate presidential seat with SW.
I hope I'm right, I am not prophesying but making my own little contribution. Thanks nairalanders
Politics / Re: Saraki: PDP Must Win North-central Zone If It Wants To Return To Power In 2023 by Akamon(m): 6:28pm On Apr 11, 2021
If PDP and South want to win an election come 2023, this should they embrace. Politics is a game of analysis. That was Tinubu area of strength prior to year 2015.
* 2023 power belongs to the South and a Christian Candidate(Any forecast outside is sure a failure for both PDP & APC if they go in contrary)
* Igbos must allign with their enemy the Yorubas
* Power will shift to South West(Osinbajo) or South South(Goodluck Jonathan)
* South East/South South will have Senate President or South West were ever the seat of president swings
* North East or North Central Vice president
* North East / North Central Speaker were ever the vice president swings to.
*** North Central must be won 60-65% (Benue,Kwara, Kogi, Plateau) at least Nassarawa/Niger State 40%.
**South West must be won at least 75% (there are literate voters, they dont put all their eggs in a basket)
** South East and South South must give their 80% vote
* Target North East States like Taraba 65%(Core PDP state) and Bauchi40-60%(A current PDP State) Dont trust Bauchi, there can easily realign.
*From North West, target Kaduna 20-50% they are currently divided on ethnic and religious lines. Sokoto currently holds sway for PDP but dont trust them(20-60%).

The above i believe should be PDP strategic plan. I will give that of APC strategic plan for 2023 later.

This is my own personal thinking and not prophecy or stolen information. Just trying to reason like jagaban himself.

Foreign Affairs / Re: How The US And Iran Became Adversaries - A Brief History (Photos) by Akamon(m): 12:02am On Feb 28, 2021
The real war in the middle east is actually between Iran and Saudi Arabia. The war is mainly a religious superpower war between the aforementioned countries. It's a war between two dominant Islamic sect(Shiite and Tsunni). This two Islamic super power are forever engaged in cold war using other Middle East country as a fighting ground, especially in the course of controlling the government of the Islamic nation. This struggle can be found in Syria, Iraq and Afganistan. USA and it's ally Isreal work with Saudi Arabia a more stable state to maintain peace in the middle east by ballancing the power between the two State. The peace in turn stabilizes oil production and distribution across the world, thereby checkmating Russia's Oil monopoly (Always trying to bring the west to their bended knees) causing Economic recession by disrupting oil supply in the Middle east through support for Iran against Saudi Arabia. This will increase OIL price and more money will flow into Russia and other OPEC nations economy thereby boosting its Economy at the detriment of Western countries and trading disharmony in the East for wealth transfer.
Originally, the war is a local religious war which always have effect on global oil price favouring Russia and OPEC(Saudi Arabia and Iran inclusive). USA have to come in and take a side to ballance the equation. So it's also referred to as the COLD WAR between USA and Russia for economic struggle and COLD war between Saudi Arabia and Iran(Historical religious importance and power)

In the absence of problems, our country Nigeria is asleep but comes to life when problem arises. We dont prepare for emergencies as a nation, we are like walking corpse walking around without intuition we only come to living consciousness when there are issues. Cold chain refrigerators for scientific research should be found in every average MEDICAL institutions in Nigeria to encourage research in Nigeria and for emergencies like this current Covid issues. In the first Lockdown NCDC and Minister of Health did not state this as an emergency plan for Covid vaccine storage.
Now dead bodies have risen and are now planning for covid vaccine storage while a new strain is out there. We dont even know if Nigeria has its own new strain. I think our educational certificate in Nigerians is a mirage.

Myjust:
That's a lie a big lie. Abraham died without knowing Jesus.it is the law that brings about the mentality of sin. Please stop saying things you don't know.God is the judge he alone will judge. Or do you think it is the same way he will judge every generation. My forefathers died without the gospel, so u think they are all in help?quote author=GRIMMJOE post=90654058]The babies go to hell, any who dies without Jesus goes to hell.

Not to mention we are born sinners.

When you here the word of God came to Abraham and or any body in the bible, know that it's Jesus Christ that came to that individual. john 1:1-18
The Gospel was available 2000 years ago and your forefathers died 100-200yrs ago.

Now you have received the Gospel, do you believe in the Gospel recieved ? if you believe then take it to the fathers of the yet to be born children who will complain in 200yrs time that the Gospel did not get to their father and or your children who will also say the same not knowing that their forefathers (which is you and those unbelievers today ) heard the Gospel and threw it away without passing it down to them. Please make the right decision now.

KaptainAfrika:
Woah! Babies go to heaven or hell based on the beliefs of their parents - what of miscarried pregnancies? stillborn babies?

If I may add what about autistic people that have issues with their mental faculties?

The bible quotation in my write up is not mine, its the word of God. if either of the parents is holy it covers the child(Stillborn, autistic and normal children) otherwise the child is unclean (What happens to the unclean is what remain to be revealed as rhema). But in all its the decision of the parents to cover their children with holiness(Salvation, eternal life ) or uncleanes ( damnation to hell) until they get to a stage of taking their own decisions.

Autistic people has a heart and mind that are not deformed. its their brain and body system that's malfunctioning, so they have the mind to make their decision of accepting Christ after hearing the word of God. Even the deaf also knows God and His son Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 7:14, CSB: "For the unbelieving husband is made holy by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is made holy by the husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is they are holy."

From the above bible quote, though salvation is not transferable, but as a child as long as you are not of age to make the decision of salvation on your own, the Holiness of either of your parents makes you HOLY and the free gift of Salvation is on the little child who eventually benefits Eternal life through JESUS CHRIST.

for the children of those who are unbelievers

1 Timothy 2:4
Verse Concepts
who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Titus 2:11
Verse Concepts
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,

God Almighty desires all Men(Christian Believers, Muslims, Christian Church goers, Free thinkers, Idle worshipers etc.) to be saved not one single soul did God want to see to perish in the lake of fire.

So asking the question about were will children go after death is not God's Choice but the Choice of their parents. God gave life to a fetus forming in a woman's womb, man and woman made the choice to destroy the life of that fetus. So also is the choice of a childs parents to decide where a day old child and other children will go to(Hell or Heaven).
We have no right to put the blame on God Almighty whoes thought for every human being is a thought of Good and not of evil but the deveil comes to steal and to destroy. So when a still birth child dies the choice of the parents (To be Holy or not to be Holy) determines where the still birth child goes.

So its time to erase that stubbornness of rejecting Jesus Christ the son of God. your decision can destroy your wife, innocent children and even the stillbirth babies. How wicked the heart of men is and they will transfer the blame of their evil actions to God.

ROMANS 10:9-15
9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. 11 As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.”[c]12 Jew and Gentile[d] are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. 13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”[e]

14 But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?15 And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”[f]
