it will take just as long as it has always taken, unless they start moving faster.
They give dates according to when you booked, so still in that order, they’re going to finish with everyone that booked with the old portal before they start with the new portal.
So until they finish with December 2024.

Do you know how long it takes to get appointment for student visa after submitting application with documents on the new portal?
Note: I don’t mean using the old email booking system with category A and B.
Has anyone gotten appointment yet with the new system?

I don’t believe it would affect the old appointment, based on my own very recent experience.

I booked appointment using the old portal as of June 2024
So when they brought new portal I opened a. Account with the same mail

Hope it wouldn't affect the appointment booked on the old portal

the embassy is now at 10th December 2023 for student visa? Please how did you come to know this? Do you know someone who booked on that day and has now gotten his/her appointment?

Bro Chill...relax. We understand your situation, I guess like you said,you just applied recently using the consular portal.

If your school doesn't defer,no need to Panic,just let the Admission go. The most important thing is that you have registered on the portal and are on the waiting list.

The Embassy is fully aware of the Waiting period,so nothing like penalizing cus obviously the Documents you uploaded would have expired as at when they will call you for an appointment. You just have to reapply to the University(Probably when you know your appointment date is getting closer)

The Embassy is still in 10th Dec 2023.
So chill,don't Panic. You can also source for Scholarships which will make the process faster for you.
