People who don't believe in spirituality are the most mentally static people to ever walk the surface of the earth. Even the most advanced science can't explain the simple phenomenon why two people sitting close to each other yawn at the same time, intuition, why we dream or why the same camera in two different hands can produce entirely different photographs.
Bro, All this things are not mystery and they have explanations, just because you're too dull to grasp it doesn't make it supernatural. This world is scientific.
Mariangeles: Yeah! Next time, buy ebiripo instead.
Look at what nairaland has done to you. Many intelligent folks are getting brainrotted because of the competitive tribalism on this platform and it's very sad to see.
Tiney: I finished from a command school In simple terms, if you don't want your child to be disciplined. Don't send your ward to a command school
You guys should stopped using words that are not related in meaning to what you suffered. This is not disciplined! This is abuse! And that's what happened to you too. Stop trying to normalise abuse.
There's nothing funny about it. if you got worse than this during your days,I'm sorry, but you were abused and i hope you know it's not the right thing to do humans. Also i pray you heal from the trauma
dapotemi: This guy has done a very good job recently. Pls read up on his post and timeline before making a decision. I know for sure he's been helpful! I'm saddened by your case. I pray God show up soon for you .
couragekebs . This is the guy account posted by dapotemi , reach out to him
Thank you boss for this wonderful thread. How can you tell when a female goat is ready for mating? I have a female goat but i can't tell if when she's in heat.
Good day to everyone, I'm trying to make enquiries about the LASU Postgraduate Diploma programme, but I couldn't find any useful information on their website or online. If you're a student or staff of LASU, I appeal to you to please help me with relevant information about the PGD programme. I'd like to know when the form is out, the requirements, and necessary costs. Thank you.
PureFace1: You are a lost cause What I mean by no benefit is because it doesn't make sense to claim a minority Ijaw over a majority Yoruba, it's more beneficial for him to claim Yoruba not Ijaw unless he want to contest for a position in Ijaw land.
You are the kid arguing blindly here after Sowore accepted his Ijaw identity, recently some Igbo also claimed they were the first settlers in Ile Ife and even wrote an history book about it does that now mean Igbo are now Yoruba?
It doesn't even matter whether Sowore is playing politics it's whatever he acknowledged himself, he denied being Yoruba still you are still arguing blindly is that not stupidity? Can you know about Sowore Origin more than himself? It is not like Sowore is a kid Just because Yoruba culture influence Apoi Ijaw doesn't make them Yoruba just like because we bear English names and speak English language in Nigeria doesn't make us British in Nigeria.
Even itshekiri with obvious connection to Yoruba still have their distinct identity and don't claim being Yoruba like that
You're kid and too much in your feelings for me to further this convo. Ciao
PureFace1: What's the benefits of claiming Ijaw over Yoruba if he is playing politics?
The truth is Sowore is Ijaw from Ijaw Apoi in Ondo state, many of you are just delusional and don't want to accept the truth, many Nigerians bear English names does that mean they are now British?
Someone opened his mouth and said he is Ijaw many of you will still be arguing blindly
The ijaw Apoi in ondo you're talking about, why not read up about them. A lot of them don't see themselves as ijaw but yoruba, some of them has even claim to trace their origin to ile-ife. Many of their traditional rulers bear full yoruba names and you're saying they're full ijaw. Do you know more than the indigene of the town? Do you know their history more than the rulers?
And for you to say what is the benefits of claiming a tribe over yoruba, it shows you're kid and new to nigerian politics. Nigerian politician use tribe and religion as a political tool all the time and you're asking me what's the benefits? Are you serious? What's the benefits of Gbadebo Patrick Rhodes-Vivour suddenly claiming to be yoruba after claiming to be igbo most of his life and even used derogatory words to describe yoruba people, even he doesn't identify as gbadebo but chinedu but suddenly when he wanted to run as a governor, he remembered he's yoruba? You should listen to those periods when sowore made those statements that he's ijaw, what was going on politically those particular period and you'll understand the game.
That's just him playing politics. If you're not born yesterday, you will understand the game sowore is playing. There's no way he has a full name as a yoruba man, but his ethnicity is Ijaw. Like I said in my previous comments. A Badagry indigene who is actually Awori can claim ogu/egun, which won't raise any suspicions from outsiders. Still, indigenes of Badagry can detect if he's telling the truth from his name, accent, etc. The same applies to Sowore, the true Ijaws know he's not part of them, and he's a yoruba man, everything is just politics
Toruibestate: Sowore s surname isn't Ijaw but he is Ijaw.. Rotimi Amaechi is not Yoruba.
Sowore is not ijaw, he only came from a local government with ijaw majority. If you know lagos very well, and someone tell you his local government is Badagry, there's a high probability for you to think such a fellow is ogu/Egun because they're the majority. However, that might not be true because there're awori people in badagry too. This two tribe don't have similar language, food, culture etc but they share same local government. I hope with this point you understand how sowore is mistaken as ijaw which he's not.
Bro, you've been struggling for so long. it'd sad to see. Try going to all these prayer mountain and spend at least 1 month their. I'm not a religious person but i believe that's the only thing that can help you.
Samantha125: As long as they're living in their husbands' country like it should be, we're happy for them.
But why does it seem like almost all of them are overweight? ... Aren't there gyms in Nigeria? ... What are you guys feeding them?🤭🤭🤭
By looking at them, you can tell that these women have given birth, and it's normal for a woman to gain weight after childbirth. Don't act as though there are no overweight women in South Africa too. Also, as a woman, I don't expect you to be the one body-shaming other women. But obviously, you just display xenophobic traits, even going through the effort of leaving all South African platforms to come to a Nigerian platform just to hate on Nigerians. Shame on you.
Eniolohunda: Since I've been going to get Garri in African market, I never see Portuguese garri. I've been seeing Garri ijebu, Ghana Garri, and our yellow Garri . And since I've been mingling with other white colleagues I've never seen anything has cassava in their recipes. It's only the Phillipinos that I've seen have something doing with cassava here, and what they make with it is not even Garri. They make the thing like cake, so man talk what you only know. Even if Portuguese makes Garri as you claim, where is it in the US market?
I only corrected your erroneous claim. I'm not here to trade words with you. You have all the world's information at your fingertips. It's left to you to make research or wallow in your ignorance. Cheers
Eniolohunda: Most African foods are imported from Africa. Oyibo no dey eat yam, egunsi, elaborate, garri etc
Garri itself is not even an African food. The Portuguese introduced it, and what makes you think that Europeans don't eat yams? You do know that egusi is also melon, and it's part of their delicacy. In all you do, try to seek wisdom.
Hamachi: In today’s Nigeria, the weight of unemployment is real — survival no be beans. With inflation rising, the naira fluctuating, and job opportunities scarce, many people feel stretched financially and emotionally. Even those with jobs complain about salaries not keeping pace with living costs, so it’s understandable that being unemployed feels even tougher.
Here’s the truth: while the situation is challenging, it does not have to define you. This is a season, not your permanent story.
My advice:
Keep upskilling: Take advantage of free or low-cost online courses (e.g., Google, LinkedIn, Coursera). Skills in tech, digital marketing, project management, and data analysis are in demand globally.
Leverage your network: Most opportunities come through people. Let friends, family, old colleagues, or even former lecturers know you’re open to work.
Stay flexible: Be open to internships, contract jobs, or volunteering. They may not solve all financial issues immediately, but they keep your skills sharp and often lead to permanent roles.
Care for your wellbeing: The stress is real — try to balance job searching with activities that bring you peace (exercise, faith, community support). Employers value resilience.
Think beyond borders: With remote work opportunities, Nigerian talents are competing on a global stage. Target platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, or remote job boards to widen your chances.
I acknowledge that things are rough, but I’ve also seen many people rise in the middle of difficult times by refusing to be stagnant. This is not the end — it’s a phase, and with the right steps, you can come out stronger.

Go but be security conscious, if it's an address you're not sure of, don't go alone.
You people just come online and type your little prejudices without backup.
Show me one Nigerian being paid 'slave wages' by foreign companies.
Show us the person, say his job, and show us his pay check, let us see.
Don't we have a minimum wage in Nigeria?
If i tell you what i went through at a chinese factory, i don't even wish that life for anyone. 12hrs a day mon-sat and only free on sundays when they want to change shift. And my salary was nor up to 80k. If that's not slavery, tell me what i should call it? Meanwhile i was even working in the best factory in the zone. This is to let you know there are people going through worse than i am in other factories.
