I don't understand all these subsidy issues. Who is subsidizing who. We buy poles, wire and even prepaid meter. We just bought a transformer for 12 million naira and are presently contributing 40000 per each house to repair the damaged transformer. Any fault in the new transformer we have to pay their ibedc staff for both labor and cost of material. Yet everyone keeps saying the government is subsidizing. Even if you audit properly you will find out that the prepaid meter cost that was supposed to be repaid to consumers is not being fully repaid. Who is really subsidizing who.
