I think Access bank offers something similar and it's called a DTS account and depends on credit score of account holders of the bank to access this |
Well it depends on the type of workers in the state. Some owed between 4-6months.. the likes of AAUA(6months), OAUSTECH(4months),UNIMED(4months),RUGIPO(9months or thereabt). Mainstream workers are owed 4months. It is so painful whereas the governor and his appointees are not owed salaries. |
One thing you are sure of in a federal polytechnic is regular payment of salaries while it is not in most state universities. Other thing is u cant become a professor in a federal polytechnic while u can in a state university if u have the necessary requirements. With a minimum of M.Sc. u can rise to the level of a Chief lecturer in a federal polytechnic but not in a state university cos minimum requirements is a PhD to even get to Senior lecturer position. So many other things Mario1989: |
ASUU-AAUA TO BEGIN STRIKE OVER SIX MONTHS UNPAID SALARIES March 5, 2021 The Academic staff at the Adekunle Ajasin University have resolved to embark on an indefinite strike following alleged non-payment of salaries by the state government. The decision was reached at the last Congress of the Union. According to the Union, the state government owed them arrears of salaries of five months and sixth month counting and deductions of more than twelve months. The Union have written the Management of the University and also informed the National leadership of the Union of their intentions to embark on an indefinite industrial action if the government failed to respond to their demands before the end of the first semester examination by end of March 2021. The lecturers agreed to engage their services for the first semester examination under empty stomach which have lingered for long. In an interactive session with some of the Union members they appealed to well-meaning Nigerians and other stakeholders to prevail on the state government to settle their unpaid salaries. They also alleged that the political class and other workers in the state receive their salaries regularly but the lecturers were left out. In another interview with a Professor of the University, he urged the State government to, as a matter urgency pay all arrears of salaries owed its members in the University without delay noting that the National and Zonal offices of ASUU are in solidarity with its members in Akungba branch. He also faulted the National Universities Commission (NUC) for aiding the Ondo State government by approving state universities that fall short of the required standard for accreditation. The Don also lamented the dearth of infrastructures and gross under funding of tertiary institutions in the Ondo state. Efforts were made to reach state government officials to react to the allegations of the lecturers but proved abortive as of the time of filing this report. What is your reason for the relocation since you are doing fine here in Nigeria mindgamers: |
Okoroawusa:A Chief lecturer should earn more than this. It is equivalent to a Professor in the university system. A newly promoted professor earns at least between 400-420k monthly and at bar earns like 550k. But some state universities scale are more than this. E.g RSUST,AkwaibomSU and the likes. They get up to 600-650k monthly |
The demands of ASUU are very simple and direct but it takes the will of the govt to implement all. I don't see any reason why the payment platform of ASUU called UTAS cant be accepted. I believe the University system is unique and this uniqueness should be adopted. Also the University needs holistic revitalization urgently before it becomes dead just like the primary and secondary schools. |
Reeoman:IPPIS is a scam right from the beginning and ASUU have pointed out this. We can also see that this claim have been validated by the NASU and SSANU recently. |
When BRF was outside the govt in 2015 he can't make such statements. He even promised Nigeria that they will fix power in 6months if elected and what did we get. |
Igbochief001:Oga read my comment very well. We have the SW,SE and SS to jostle for the presidency but some party have zoning system like PDP but it will be morally wrong to field Atiku coming from the North again who will want to spend another 8years. |
It is possible if you get an M.Sc degree with a PhD grade. You qualify to be an Asst. Lecturer and if u get a PhD you qualify for Lecturer II and from there the sky is your limit with good publications and over time you become a Professor. |
oshozondii:Why the put B before A. The ASUU strike should be called off first before thinking of resumption and moreover there have been no precautive measures put in place in the tertiary institutions to curb the spread of covid 19 by the govt. |
Igbochief001:Morally The President should come to the South come 2023 but it now depends on the zone in the South that will jostle for the ticket. It will also not be moral for the PDP to give Atiku the ticket in this settings |
Jollylolly:This is a good combination but VP Osinbajo is not a politician and he has not proved otherwise in this administration as he has not been relevant in political activities at the top. I don't see him dragging the ticket with his boss BAT |
Seerade029:Is Osibanjo and Fasola not in the old cycle. Anyday, Anytime Tinubu is smarter and competent than PMB |
What if your condition has not changed. Will they look for you. Though they are your parent but they failed in their responsibility to u. I advise you stay away from them if possible. You can also send them money if excess but don't kill yourself for them. |
Yes. FG is yet to negotiate with ASUU so no resumption for now. The mgt of these schools are just making plans for resumption. |
