odilibe: somehow!..on old strong boxes..signal quality at 46% will give clear picture on 10992 while difference in SQ Between11559 is 20%..which means at 66% on 10992 ..11559 should working at 46%..which gives 56% on some of the new strong receivers or over 76% on 10992 to be able to lock 11559 at 56%! 60% is the benchmark on my 4922. But hv got 76% on 11559, 57% stable on 11784 around noon later drop to 54% in the evening. While 11938 crack like hell. |

DimitriLavrov: House please how do I verify an LNBF is O.K. or faulty? I ve been tracking with this LNBF and no sign of green, having tried various sat. positions am suspecting the LNBF may be faulty since there is no other lnbf at the moment to use and check, Am now asking if its possible to find out using the signal strength and the signal quality. i think how u can verify if not the only way is to check the level percentage, it must remain 97percent steady but if not upto then it is bad however have seen a case where the 97 is steady and still bad |

obnelly: LOL.says who ?FTA isn't populated in Lagos! Well I want to believe that dish in question is from strong technologies. Transporting petalised dish over long distance without proper packaging or handling may result to poor signal quality loss due to warp.Kindly tell the driver to handle it carefully. I will be glad to see the dish too. trust me you can do the statistics, out of every 10 dish u see in lagos, 7 is paid tv, abandon and fta constitute the remaining. Locals in lagos are 70percent better than multitv. |

Obiagelli: Its not even in alaba. it is because FTA is not populated in lagos due to availability of various locals and that is why you can mostly find such dishes where it moves market. (Region with low or no locals) |

odilibe: on what type of receiver did you got mbc at 80%...at about 85% on old strong receiver on 12303 with 3m...i should be close to badr4/6!BBC and co!..probably he needs more than 100cm for MBC badr 5...@ his location!that is type of receiver vs location and dish size matters! while given reception report!for badr5 mbc hd..hehehe! am using 4922, location FCT. infact i actually got 84% on 12303 initially while 12522 was 63% but i noticed crack during windy atmosphere so i just have to push up my LNB for more gain on 12522. |

harizonal123: Tried tracking MBC HD with 90cm dish without success. I got joy TV many times but could hit green on 12303. I will try my 1cm dish next week 1cm ?? you must be genius....lol anyway MBC is as easy as multi tv to nail. I nailed both bird with 1LNB (secondary) in a 5in1 setup on a 1m dish and i got MBC 80% & Multi tv 69-70%... Firstly track 12303 and hit max then input your 12522 then lower half inch if on a primary lnb but if otherwise raise your Lnb and you re good to go |

graphicicon: @Akplatinum, none of the LNB freq is Correct, set your "LNB TYPE" to Universal, then LNB freq should be set to 9.750/10.600 thats how to set it before u can get any signal from any satelite i make an adjustment to my settings according to what you posted here but i noticed the Q level that used to dance between 20% and 30% during tracking was just stagnant after i changed the lnb type to Universal while having 4digit tp on frenquency and wasn't moving back and front. Does this seem right?

I tried all the tricks i know, burn fuel like a textile company but all effort proved abbortive. Couldn't get a Flash of green on this irib. However i use to notice an lnb(KU) becomes Little Warm few minute after i powered on my decoder during tracking but not so in the case of my Cband lnb, it was cold all tru but L level stays 97%. I also don't know if what i explain here applies to Cband lnb and i hope the gurus understand my explanations......... I also try to replace my sirius 4.8E with w3a 7E on my 3in1 setup but no show........tired!!! Dish picture bellow.
