U are probably talking about in 700 BCE or AD, was that even colonialism. And I highly doubt it's Poland or sweeden, it's too easy to just say sweeden and Poland colonised Russia. It's a facade, you're only allowed to choose from what they decide to present as choices and can also decide to give you what they decide for themselves even after you have voted from the choices they presented to you in the first place.

In so called America. No woman has ever ruled and only 2 parties have produced their presidents in over 210 years.

The democracy you're used to can be termed as a mother cooking rice and beans, then asking you to choose from the 2 because she planned this from the start and you weren't part of the decision, whereas there are more than 50 food options you could have choosen from.

The French failed in those countries not Democracy. Have u asked Urself why coup is happening only in francophone countries. Their Democracy is weak because France still control their leaders, even though they claim to be a Democratic nation their president is autocratic, spend decades in power without ceding, no press freedom etc. So coup is always bound to happen sooner or later. This cannot happen In Ghana or Nigeria that has more flexible Democracy.
