It doesn't matter if Nord Stream 1-2 is running, Germany has to pay for the gas it didn't take. Germany is contractually obligated to purchase at least 40 billion cubic meters of Russian gas per year until 2030. In case of refusal, Gazprom has the right to receive money, even if the gas was not delivered. 3 Likes |

Last night, September 26, 2022 to September 27, 2022, it was reported that a wave of powerful explosions rocked the Turkish Port city of Mersin, in Southern Turkey. According to local eyewitnesses and turkish media, a VBIED (i.e. car bomb) exploded near the entrance to the police station building as Armed militants raided the Turkish Security outpost, with locals reporting that the sound of gunfire was heard multiple times, with local media sources also claiming that at least two policemen were injured by gunshots and that two of the alleged attackers were killed and one captured alive. Although who is behind the attack still unofficially unknown, Pro-government media have suggested the attack may have been carried out by far-left militants from the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), the most infamous Turkey-based Kurdish Separatist guerrilla since the Cold War. |
