The same issue happened to me I never got the Ota update... Some guy sent me a TF version update which didn't work for me(dunno if I was doing something wrong cos they claimed it worked for them).
I eventually had to download the full update for flashing. If you want the TF version, drop your mail I'll send the link.

Extract the TF version being sent to you, inside it you will see another Zip file named update. Flashed that through stock recovery it will work

Nothing like misinformation Mr donshady, the rom itself is still in beta phase and not stable yet. Check the review of people using it on other phones... You will likely get the same comment. It was ported and used for a while before uploading. At least appreciate the effort and mind you am not a blogger, I created the blog to share customizations with other Infinix users. Thanks

its out already and its without the hotspot bug.
am only waiting for it to be ported for MT6582/92.

I wont lie to you, the fluidity is not there, it just like the OS is struggling on the phone.
For me the only thing that was look into in this update is just the battery life, But for ram management, gaming, performance and camera na zero.

Try lollipop on other phones and you will see the difference. As it is now am looking for CM 12.1 Beta 5 to port and leave the poo rom.

The bugs in the new update is minimal i must confess... And you have to flash it manually since there will be no ota update from KitKat to lollipop

This new update lags a lot and app opening response time takes forever. They only adjusted what the ram bar is displaying in the build.prop and didn't work on the ram management ish itself.

You can update to the latest version via OTA If you are already on 0925, but if not you have to download and flash the 1009 with sp flash tools.

Make use of the first Version of Simple server, the newer ones are not reliable.

bro..you dont have to unroot to flash, just backup things you might need for the trip.currently using mega downloader on pc..reliable

You must flash ur stock kitkat ROM before flashing the CM.
the CM ROM works with kernel 3.4.67 and not 3.10.xx

You cant fix the bugs, as the bugs is across all MTK Platform and again CM12.1 is not yet stable.

meanwhile, let me get something straight: Do we have to port it to the 16Gb Rom 1Gb ram version too?

I uploaded the rom because there was a request for it.

Back to the question you asked. You dont have to port, Just enter the recovery mode
click on clean to install new rom
flash the rom
wipe dalvik and cache.
then reboot.

Thats all

If it is the CM 12.1 rom you are trying to port for your hot note pro you can upload the boot.img and let me help you to port it.

And also be sure you are using Philz recovery to flash this rom.

Boot ke? It has nothing to do with booting. Which ROM are u trying to fix sef?

If its the CM Rom i think its bad, i haven't been able to boot it at all myself let alone fix any bug.

If its another rom that was working before than you are doing something wrong. You should not extract the rom. Just open it with winrar, delete the old one in that directory and drag and drop the new one.

Because you have not been able to port it successfully does not mean the rom is bad, many people have ported it and it worked.

it is what am using right now. Always be sure of what you are saying before you make a confirmative statement.

you are to take the kernel from the Kitkat boot img and libmali.so from stock system/lib, hwcomposermt6592 from stock system/lib/hw.

tried it on mine same thing. ported the kernel. same thing. blank screen

for hot note pro after porting the kernel, copy libmali.so and hwcomposer.mt6592.so from stock to port.

zip and flash. that should work for the blank screen

Ported Miui v7 5.10.1 but it not yet stable.. it's a bit laggy and FCs some apps.

But if you can provide fix for the bugs on it...go on then

You might need to port the kernel from the stock boot img.
The size is 499mb
