Business › Re: Have You Ever Dropped From Grace To Grass Financially? How Did You Handle It? by AleAirHub(m): 2:04pm On Jun 03 |
Life in phases: 26 to 35+ 26/27 – I got privileged access to key information. I made huge profits, bought properties, and invested in cashless policy businesses at their peak. 28/29 – I lost 70% of my net worth in a forex/crypto crash. I took loans to keep my offline businesses afloat. 30/31 – I was robbed at all 6 business branches. My remaining 30% net worth was wiped out. Loans went into recovery with 300% interest. 31/32 – I sold all my properties to clear debts and loans. 32/33 – I hit rock bottom: total depression, isolation, and alcohol as my only companion. 33/35 – I tried rebuilding from zero, but collapsed under millions of naira in debt. Today – I have built strong walls around myself, my finances, and my family. I also believe in constant personal development before anything else. #Who no go, no go know. Lalaaa....Above all, I am a HAPPY MAN with wonderful and beautiful children, and I wish those encountering life challenges find peace and a solution soon. |
Career › Re: I Helped My Fiancé Get A Job In My Company… Now He Wants Me To Resign by AleAirHub(m): 10:26pm On Jun 01 |
Even if most of these stories are fake tales for engagement purposes, that will not stop me from sharing my perspective on the whole situation. I blame the guy for everything because he was too fast with the whole marriage thing. He was supposed to build his career and financial stability first for at least 3–5 years before making marriage plans. That number of years could have been enough to reveal other sides of themselves, and it would also create genuine pressure that may likely come from the lady because of age. And whenever he suggested waiting, the chances the lady would listen are higher than they are now. Also, the fact that people are good friends doesn’t mean it must end in marriage. I will stop here, and I believe the person below me has a lot to add or contribute. escortafrik: I’m a lady in my mid-30s and life was going very well for me except for one thing everybody except me seemed obsessed with - marriage.
I have a good career, I’m financially stable, respected in my field, and I genuinely loved the life I built for myself. But every family gathering, every wedding, every phone call from relatives somehow turned into:
“So when are you getting married?” You’re not getting younger oo
Eventually, I met someone through mutual friends.
He was unemployed at the time, but that did not bother me much because he was intelligent, kind, calm, and surprisingly very knowledgeable in the same profession as me.
We connected deeply and for the first time in a long while, I felt like I had found the ‘one’
As our relationship became serious, I started helping him professionally too. I helped him restructure his CV, prepared him for interviews, connected him to opportunities, and eventually introduced him to my organisation when there was an opening.
Thankfully, he got the job.
I was genuinely happy for him because I knew how difficult things had been for him financially before then. And after he got the job, things became even sweeter between us.
And some month after he proposed to me ! my joy became complete! My family was overjoyed.
Then, just as our wedding plans were moving forward smoothly, the company we worked introduced a new policy stating that married couples could no longer work in the organisation together. Once two employees got married, one person would have to resign.
That was when the real problem started.
I assumed we would sit down and discuss it logically.
I have spent years building my career there. I’m more senior. I currently earn more. And if we’re being realistic, my position is more stable at the moment.
But my fiancé shocked me.
He told me I should be the one to resign because:
“I’m the man.”
Initially I didn’t take him seriously but as the wedding date drew closer, he kept pressuring me to resign !
I then reminded him that I was already established before he came into the company. I was the one who helped him get the opportunity in the first place. If anyone should logically stay, shouldn’t it be the person whose career was already firmly built there?
But he said it would be embarrassing for him as a man if he was the one leaving while his wife continued working there, that I could do something else like supermarket business.
Imagine !
Since then, everything has changed.
Wedding plans have paused. We now fight everyday Even his family are supporting him, telling me to resign ! my heart is broken.
Not just because of the job itself, but because I genuinely believed I was building a life with someone who saw me as an equal partner.
Well I have concluded that I won’t resign and I will also make sure he is sacked. No one should call me wicked because he is very wicked for wanting to do this to me.

I have taken my time to go through a lot of individual's comments with mind-blowing write-ups. Some were generated by AI, which is no problem, but a lot didn’t seem to fit or qualify because there were no verifiable links or proof of any existing project or engagement.
Only one person was able to share a link to his LinkedIn profile, which I took my time to go through to be sure it wasn’t a fake profile created for this initiative, and I recommended him immediately.
So, if you have existing tasks, gigs, or jobs you’re involved in and think the laptop will be helpful for, show us the proof. A lot of people are also reading to see how they can contribute, support, or recommend too.

As a teacher, you should include verifiable links to your daily or monthly activities, especially since you mentioned the IDP camp in your post. An active LinkedIn profile would speak volumes too. I wish you good luck. Doo1: Thanks for this great initiative. My name is Daniel and I'm a teacher. I want to apply for this 8th Gen Touchscreen x360 laptop.
I'll like to use the laptop in the following ways:
1. I leave in Benue state, and having displaced persons and IDP camps around me, I plan to use it to project movies and relevant documentaries in those IDP camps, that will help traumatized individuals get healing, learn to forgive and have a focus for a new life
2. Being a teacher, I'll like to use it in research and visual aid. It will help me reduce the burden of coping notes on the board as I'll use it to project e-notes for the students.
3. I'll also use it for graphical designs, as that is my side hustle apart from being a teacher. It will tremendously help me improve in my side hustle as I keep nurturing students.
Thank you as I wait in anticipation 07044286226 |

I am a graphic designer currently working to advance my skills in motion graphics, video editing, and videography. Getting this laptop will really help me grow professionally and improve the quality of work I can produce.
At the moment, my current system struggles with heavy creative software, especially for animation and motion design projects. This laptop would give me the opportunity to learn more, practice consistently, and take my creative career to the next level.
My goal is to expand beyond static designs into full visual storytelling, motion graphics, and professional video content creation. I believe this opportunity will have a huge positive impact on my growth in the creative industry.

@Mayorall I recommend him... SafariHunter: As a public school teacher serving in an underserved community, having a laptop will greatly improve both my teaching effectiveness and my students’ learning experience. My school has limited access to modern educational resources, in fact we don't have a computer at all. So a laptop would help me bridge that gap by allowing me to prepare quality lesson notes, create engaging presentations, conduct research, and access up-to-date teaching materials online. It would also help me keep proper student records, prepare assessments more efficiently, and introduce learners to digital learning opportunities that they may not otherwise experience.
For my learners, the laptop will make lessons more interactive and practical. I will be able to use educational videos, online resources, and digital teaching tools to simplify difficult topics and improve understanding. This exposure to technology will also help students develop basic digital literacy skills that are increasingly important in today’s world.
The laptop will support my continuous development as an educator. I will be able to attend online training, workshops, webinars, and certification courses that will improve my teaching methods and professional competence. It will also help me collaborate with other educators and access educational platforms that promote innovative teaching practices.
In addition, I plan to use the laptop for online tutoring as a side hustle. Through virtual tutoring, I can teach students outside my immediate environment, earn additional income to support myself and my family, and further expand access to quality education for learners who need academic support. The laptop will therefore not only strengthen my classroom teaching but also create opportunities for personal growth, financial stability, and wider educational impact in my community.

I took my time to go through your write-up, and I’m honestly disappointed in myself for wasting my time reading such a long epistle that carried little meaningful substance.
1. You mentioned your unpleasant experience at the hotel you lodged in. From your description, it is obvious you booked a low-budget hotel yet expected premium or luxury services. That alone says a lot about your expectations and financial judgment. As someone living in Nigeria, I would never consider lodging my family in such a hotel. God forbid.
2. You also complained about the environment in Lagos. Let’s be realistic — there is no country in the world without underdeveloped or poorly maintained areas. Every nation has its own rough sides.
3. You further claimed you were compelled to use airport taxis. I strongly disagree with that. As someone who travels frequently both within and outside Nigeria, whenever I have a trip, I always research available transportation options ahead of time. Most countries today have multiple ride-hailing services such as Uber, Bolt, Lyft, DiDi, and others.
Lastly, as Nigerians 🇳🇬, we should learn to celebrate and support our own. Things may not be perfect yet, but that does not mean there is no hope for improvement. Better days will come. |
