Of course there has been a coup but the Zimbabwe generals (and neighbouring nations who will be pleased to see the back of Mugabe and especially his vicious grasping wife Grace) know not to call it that since both the SADCC and AU (theoretically) have rules that state they won't recognise military take overs in member states. Given that the large majority of the nations making up the AU are dictatorships of some sort this rule is designed to try and protect themselves from popular revolutions.

So, another dictator about to fall while others watching anxiously. There is a downright lie propelled by dark forces led by Putin in recent decade about how deposing dictators leads to collapse of those given states. Like it is the cause and not the unhappy consequence of their mismanaging nongovernance to put it mildly.

You see, since writing my finance assignment on correlation between economy and politics I came to understand that what the dictators like Putin fail to tell us is, it is precisely the dictatorial rule of corruption and incompetence that cause their countries to be gradually eaten up from inside leading to an inevitable collapse in the end. I'd like more people would acknowledge that BS about how everything was great (or not so bad) under Saddam or Khaddafi and alas after they're gone with the US help-boom goes the country. This is an obvious shameless lie.

See extreme example of mass murderer butcher Assad only being kept in power by the russian dictator-yet his Syria is dysfuntional and already failed state. So what is the difference here? Immense prolonged human suffering.

Maduro, Putin, Kim, Castro, Xi, Duterte, Ayatollahs...the list goes on.

So next time you hear about how this or that country is on the ropes after the fall of its oppressive regime and that it is the fault of "exporting democracy" try to take a moment and think again.
