Toluene15: yea. If your know the procedure and have the necessary files. if you don't. just take it to carlcare for flashing downloaded and flashed successfully. this infinix ROM is far better than the android one. the mm update on the android one looks like a downgrade. I can't wait for infinix to release their mm update. |

negga4al: What part of what I'm saying don't you understand? I said you should start afresh by flashing the same ROM you are presently on.
Even if you succeed in flashing Marshmallow, you will still need to update it and that you cannot do when your phone is rooted.
So simple, get Lollipop here http://forum.xda-developers.com/hot-2/development/official-infinix-firmware-official-t3216656
Wait patiently till you get the OTA updates...a span of 1 week. However, immediately after you flash, you will get the Marshmallow OTA update, say within an hour. Thanks brother I really appreciate your help. I'm new to this flashing stuff that's why my question is much but I'm ready to give it a go. I hope I can flash the new Android one ROM I downloaded while rooted? |

negga4al: In settings, your About Phone should have 10 information starting from System Update, Status, Legs Information, Send Feedback about this device, etc.
Your signal bar indication on the status bar should be plain white right-angled triangle.
If they are as described above, then your phone is genuine, on the other hand, you screen grab and show upload it here.
Just download the Android One version of Lollipop, flash it through Infinix Flash tool, with this your phone will get all the OTA Marshmallow update and other minor updates. Once you flash your phone, please note that you will lose all data saved in your internal storage, also you'll lose all root privileges.
Make sure you do a backup before flashing. Are you saying I should first download the Android one version of lollipop, flash it with infinix flash tool then I can now update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow? Or that Android one version of lollipop will update it to Android 6.0 Marshmallow? Where can I get the update? Is it at the infinix website? I tried flashing using infinix flash tool with the Marshmallow update I downloaded but when I choose the scatter file with the flash tool, it says invalid. |

negga4al: If your device was rooted before updating you will encounter error because rooting modifies the boot partition of the ROM. Now, you have to flash Android One ROM afresh through Infinix Flash tool.
Also, confirm that you have the original phone. Do you think I should unroot it or use the infinix flash tool to flash the update I downloaded? How do I check if it's the original phone? |
