... The people always had in mind who they wanted as their leader. Please note. Presidential aspirants presents their curriculum vitaes, capabilities, mandates and other promises. The people on the other hand choose who they believed can do the job. Habitually, Nigerian past governments were known for remaining in office for two tenures, although its not mandatory because the people will still have to choose at the end of the 4 years if they want to continue with the leader or not. For Jonathan, the opposite was the case in 2015, when he lost the election by a huge margin to a new leader. It was so obvious that before inec finished counting the votes and announced the winner, he has already called his opponent to congratulate him. He said his political ambition is not worth the bloodshed of any Nigerian, so he packed his bag and vacate Aso Rock. But who made the choice? Was it Jonathan or the people? Of course, you know the answer to that, when inec announced the numbers of votes. Jonathan was far behind his opponent. How? The people made that possible. They felt that he Jonathan no longer serve their purpose. To communicate that to him they all matched in theirs millions to the polling booth on election day, few hours later Nigeria had a new leader. That was election....2 continue... |

It seems this November is not going to be peaceful neither. Just few hours after Annie idibia Apologised publicly to everyone she has offended after she made that open accusation months back, Punch News Paper Just reported that Pero who she once accused through her lawyers sued her and charged her a whooping N500 million naira! just like that. An excerpt from Punch below It continued, “Additionally, our client demands compensation in the sum of N500,000,000.00 (Five Hundred Million Naira) for personal injury, reputational damage, embarrassment, shame and emotional distress suffered as a result of your malicious, libellous and defamatory publications against her, within the same period stipulated above. “Take notice that if you do not comply with our client’s demands as stated above, we will have no other option but to bring the full weight of the law to bear upon you without further recourse to you.” 2baba is yet to respond to this, because where does she want Annie to get that kind of money from, in this Bubu regime? Sometimes apology is not the best muuuve. What a birthday gift from Pero. Damn! 500 million nah your mate?. Money laundry is also a serious case |
If successfully convicted by the court with the help of efcc Obi Cubana might face 3 years in prison and pay a fine or both according to Section 40 of Federal Inland Revenue Service Act in the Nigerian 1999 Constitution. So guys this is a really serious shit for obi. He needs a good SAN. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMMHUXnRwvk See what Adenikan from Michaelmas Chambers has to say about Tax Evasion OR JUST JUMP TO THE LAST PARAGRAPH. Tax Evasion This is the deliberate refusal to pay tax or the underpayment of tax. Tax evasion has been interpreted to mean an illegal practice where a person, organisation or corporation deliberately evades paying their authentic tax liability. Tax evasion can alternatively be defined as a wilful practice of not declaring full taxable income in order to pay tax at a reduced rate. It is an intentional violation of tax laws and is evident in instances where tax liability is fraudulently reduced. This is one of the problems plaguing the economic growth and development in Nigeria. Tax evasion involves intentional misrepresentation of one's true financial status to the tax authorities so as to reduce his/her tax liability. Examples of tax evasion includes; (a) False declaration of income, profits or gains actually earned. (b) Deductions one is entitled to. c) Failure to render tax returns to the Relevant Tax Authority. This was the case in Independent Television/Radio v. E.S.B.I.R where the defaulter failed to render tax returns to the relevant tax authority. The Court held inter alia that, "In this instant case, the tax being scuffled over was the tax of the appellant's employees from 2005-2010 which would have long time been deducted from the employees' salaries but which the appellant failed to remit to the appropriate authority. This is a despicable way for any tax payer to act and it is seriously detrimental to the development of any nation." The court in the above case referred to the case of Phoenix Motors Ltd v. N.P.F.M.B. It can be inferred from the above judgment that tax evasion, irrespective of how undeserving a country is to one's tax. It is a despicable practice condemned by the judiciary and any rightful thinking person. A tax evader may be charged to court for evading tax. It is a criminal offence and one can be fined or imprisoned. Tax Evasion in Nigeria, is punishable under Section 40 of Federal Inland Revenue Service Act. In addition to this, it is also a criminal offence under Section 41 of the Act to hinder or assault any authorised tax officer in the performance of his duties. Anyone found guilty of this can be liable to a fine or three years imprisonment or both. Source: https://www.michaelmaschambers.com/insight-page.php?i=14&a=tax-avoidance-and-evasion-in-nigeria |
Aidejay:True talk |
Every! Reasonable Nigerian musicians that don't wanna retire broke must now embrace YouTube. Not Apple music. Not Spotify. Not Audiomack, Not Boomplay. Not shazam. Well, live events is an exception, but some live events cannot be relied upon when the organizers already spent more than their expected profit to put the event together, at this time it becomes a promotional event or more worse a charitable gathering. Guest appearances, merchandise sales are other lucrative sources of income for talented musicians. And don't even suggest to me CD sales because the funeral of that guy took place in 2010, that was 11 years ago! Since that time Nigerian musicians have been making huge amount of money online and via new technology medias... Today we want to dive deep into how much money one of Nigerian flamboyant musicians makes or earns on YouTube. Not just how much he makes, but also how he makes the millions and when. Of course you already know who that person is ..... O...B...O DAVIDO! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlXakebHsvo
