Job Purpose:
Provides scheduling and planning techniques and analysis within a project
environment. Responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing critical
path plans and related schedules on small to moderate size projects.
Job Overview:
The Project Planner is responsible for the following key activities:
To develop project schedules and execution plans for all activities on a
project, Tender or plant supply chain.
Be able to work independently, applying planning and scheduling
techniques and analysis within the project or plant environment.
Responsible for developing, maintaining and analyzing critical path plans
and related schedules from small, moderate and very large size projects
and complexity.
Monitor schedule progress and earned value progress against baseline
plans and instigate proactive corrective action to ensure on time delivery
to customer promise dates.
Key Accountabilities:
Following Business Unit standards for creating, maintaining system and
package schedules in Primavera P6
Work closely with the project team to ensure the schedule reflects reality
Report project status to internal and external customers
Context:
Reporting directly to the Project Director on projects and the Global
Manager Project Planning/Scheduling, administratively.
Project Planners may work across a number of live projects.
Interfacing with Project Manager, Project Cost Analyst, Project Risk
