I want to support the post by saying that even the popular Malachi 3 that pastors quote in support of tithing is misrepresented. What transpired in this chapter was God's reprimand of the Levites and the elders of Israel concerning the embezzlement of the tithe. The people were bringing tithe, but it was not getting to the storehouse, and was defeating the purpose for which it was set up. Therefore, God was unable to bless Israel because the fatherless and the widows were not being taken care of.

This practice of embezzling resources meant for the common cause continues today. It must be halted in order for society to be just again.

In the book of Genesis, Satan bye-passed Adam to persuade his wife to taste of the fruit of knowledge of good and evil(today's western university education, mass media), and Eve in turn poisons Adam through persuasion.
