Acunon, I've waited for six months |
Hello Acunon, I've waited long enough for that base... |
mannycrown:The thing with unethical business behavior is... If a particular act worked well for an offender, he is likely to repeat it in future... As each behavior is being repeated over a number of situations, the offender becomes more familiar and learns better. It is the task of those at the receiving end (patrons and customers in this case) to recognize these different manifestations … a-priori, ask right questions, and make scam-proof demands. |
....waiting... waiting... waiting... I believe i've waited long enough for that base stand. Acunon |
acunon:'Very soon' is never a good reply. I'm trying hard not to derail your thread. Play nice. |
Acunon, are we still on this ![]() |
acunon:...posted since Oct 4... I don't know if your intent here is to delay until the matter is forgotten. Acunon, we’ve been on this game for a while; I’m beginning to enjoy it as much as you. My hand, your move. |
acunon:Finally, a noble bid. Fingers crossed. If this is not some deceptive bargaining tactic, I’ll play… maybe not for long. In good faith, I intend all further interactions to be done here online for all to witness. |
It repeatedly surprises me that so many entrepreneurs are so unconcerned about burning bridges. This is particularly upsetting because not only is relationship building the foundation of a business, it really is one of the easiest (not to mention most fun) parts. My experience doing business with Acunon is one of half truths, passive lies and an inability to tune into the emotional world of others. When things go awry, he blames you. I have a number of issues with the functionality of this TV from casting/mirroring to networking to AV unsteady signal and sound. Worst of of all I CAN'T CONTROL THIS TV WITH ITS TRADITIONAL SMART MAGIC REMOTE - volume up-down works, as much as channel/program up-down and that's about it. I've tried at least a dozen other remotes, nothing. I'm stuck with the TV single button control. Acunon , I see you have a need to be right and to win at all costs, and since your very survival depends on this, you don't give up until you have torn others down - to feel right or superior. Any attempt to reason with you is typically a lost cause. PLEASE, I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE PROPER TV BASE STAND AND WHATEVER CAN REMOTE THIS TV. |
Almost 48 hours later, the best you could muster is diversion? Rather than address the underlying problem, you want me to validate the sophistication of your trickery? You want to bargain one sad picture with another – regardless of the many I posted before. Don’t you get tired of playing this format? I shall be listing out some defects with this TV. I wanted to overlook them, but it’s become imperative given your present stance. Meantime, read my earlier post again, understand my complaint, and address it like you should, please. …. And for the benefit of all, here is another pic

To clarify: the pics on p185 was what was advertised, the whatsapp screen grabs i posted was what i got. |

Dear forum members, let me put this in summary…. This is my second transaction with Acunon, the first was about two years ago, it was a disappointment through and through, I lost money. I will spare you the details of that for a latter time. Last week, I paid 140k plus 4k transport for a 40UB800V LG TV. I made this choice after rejecting several others, some because of input placement, configurations and design, others because of lack of base stand (I am constantly connecting cables for video production, hence the need for easy input-output access). I saw the picture with what looked like the proper base stand. It looked new too… he made a video, it was compelling. I never suspected anything ulterior. He encouraged, this transaction as a way of making amends… hence, my loose guard. My focus at the time was primarily on function over form. Almost a week later, my package arrived. The TV looked sandpapered and shined by a professional shoe shiner, screwed in by a careful carpenter, and the prefabricated base stand hammered into place by a local wielder. Indeed, I have “failed to understand that tokunbo is not brand new, someone will expect a TV to come with the exact base of what he saw online even seeing images of it and on arrival will reject it with full force” I have also failed to understand, how a wielded flat scrap iron of a base stand is the new norm. It doesn’t even fit. The TV sits wobbly and skewed, the functionality is suspect. Now I wonder; was the base on those in the pictures the same as what I got? Sincerely, I don’t know. Why did he angle the camera in such cunning manner? Why did he not point out something so significant that was a deciding factor? It’s a minor problem; you say - then fix it. I will be posting more in coming days. So much left unsaid. I’m here for the long haul.

Beautiful pictures up there, tantalizing in-fact. I couldn't resist a well angled camera and light spellbind, or is it... a case of replace and displace? Acunon, if you're impenitent in you scheming and stratagem, i will be unrelenting in my complaint. Posting later in the day. |
Shocking response... Was hoping for something more positive and sincere. Very well; tomorrow, I'll make my case. |
Hello Acunon, it's Kelvin from Abuja, paid 140k plus 4k transport for a 40UB800V LG TV. i'm bringing our conversation online out of desperation for all to bear witness... it's the second time since the last deal went south... yet again, another disappointment. Please, i will respectfully ask that you hear me out as outlined in our whatsapp conversations and voice calls... Pending which, I may be compelled to beg the house for intervention . |
