Apply your own logic to what you just posted and let's see wether it stands. Didn't Jesus heal the woman? Of course He did. As for what he said, I don't see anything wrong with it. Jesus lived in the ancient Jewish Kingdom of Judea where proverbs and parables were used all the time, and what Jesus said was a proverb. It's like what happens here in Africa where we use a lot of proverbs too. I remember when I was a child and we were visited by a family friend whom we had not seen in a very long while, and my Dad greeted him by saying: "The Toad does not run in the daytime for nothing" My Dad wasn't calling his friend a toad, rather he was using a proverb to highlight the unusual nature of the friend's visit. It's the same thing that Christ did with the Canaanite woman. On the other hand, the black man in that hadith was clearly suffering from low self esteem, but his sad situation was exploited. He was made to do something tragic because he believed it would make him have white skin in paradise. That is actually quite a disturbing scenario. erad: |
Thank God Pastors have started waking up |
Are you 7th Day Adventists? Because this issue has been dealt with in the Book of Romans and you are very wrong Sir. |
One day, a careful study should be undertaken to get to the root of what is actually wrong with the black man. |
Hmmm....I'm guessing the reason why Saudi and the Gulf States are not represented here is because of their gender based high wealth and income inequality.

Oga, you're the one who is actually as dumb as a box of rocks. Your belief system is obviously as useless as that of this male prostitute and that is why you're defending him. If you like, continue getting your moral standards from the toilet. That is entirely up to you. But the idea that there is something noble or worthy of admiration about people like you is as stupid as it is laugbeable. Omoawoke:. What "fairy tales" is this cretin referring to? Might you be any chance be referring to the Bible as a book of fairy tales or are you referring to the primitve African superstitious abominations you worship? Christianity is a moral and ethical framework, not a fairytale. For anybody to believe in fairy tales at this your age, shows you are dumb and can’t think for yourself. Must they spell out everything for you?Put your best foot forward. I have debated real atheists from the West and they had no answers to my Christian arguments which show the validity of the Christian faith as a source of salvation and moral guidance. You have a lot of audacity to think that an intellectually weak and morally bankrupt atheist or traditionalist can defend their stupidity against Christianitty. We know your type, you only delude yourself with your fellow dimwits and feel good, but meet a stronger argument, you will pack your load and run |

Common sense is your friend, just because animals do something abnormal is all the more reason why human beings who are supposed to be wiser, should avoid repeating such behaviour. omooba969: |

In view of the controversy caused by the decision of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie to marry a second wife, some of his fans have taken to the pages of Social Media to claim that there is a Biblical justification for his actions. This is not unusual. Many mudslimes who seek to lower the moral and ethical standards of Christianity in order to bring it down to the much lower gutter standards of islam, have consistently misrepresented Biblical Scripture to claim that they endorse polygamy. Let’s briefly take a look at two of their most favourite scriptures: DEUTERONOMY 21:15–17 As Moses teaches God’s law to the generation of Israelites about to inherit the Promised Land, he says, If a man has two wives, the one loved and the other unloved, and both the loved and the unloved have borne him children, and if the firstborn son belongs to the unloved, then on the day when he assigns his possessions as an inheritance to his sons, he may not treat the son of the loved as the firstborn in preference to the son of the unloved, who is the firstborn, but he shall acknowledge the firstborn, the son of the unloved, by giving him a double portion of all that he has, for he is the firstfruits of his strength. The right of the firstborn is his. A lot of mudslimes deliberately misinterpret this passage to say that it endorses polygamous relationships, but is that what it says? Not quite. This legislation, like many others in Exodus and Deuteronomy, is case law. Case laws don’t articulate ideal standards of righteousness. They instead provide directions for Israel’s judges and political leaders on how to rule justly in light of the deeply broken and sinful situations they were likely to encounter. Note that the passage begins with “If a man has two wives . . .” not “Since a man may have two wives . . .” The use of the word "if" shows that this scripture is not recommending or commanding that Israelites should practice polygamy. Rather it is seeking to mitigate the division, rivalry, and brokenness that emerges from polygamous unions by protecting the unfavored wife and her children from the husband’s favoritism. Wherever the word "if" is used in a law, it is used as a way of anticipating the likelihood of an event occurring. It is never used to command the performance of an obligation. So Deuteronomy 21: 15 to 17 is anticipating the likelihood of Polygamy taking place and it is providing for the care of a neglected wife. It is not commanding Israelites to engage in Polygamy. 2 SAMUEL 12:8 The prophet Nathan tells King David on behalf of God, I gave you your master’s house and your master’s wives into your arms and gave you the house of Israel and of Judah. And if this were too little, I would add to you as much more. Some mudslimes have suggested that this verse teaches that God blessed David by giving him the wives of Saul. But this claim is extraordinarily ridiculous and its absurdity can be exposed very quickly. This chapter records Nathan’s rebuke of David after his sin with Bathsheba (hardly a moment we’d find a prophet endorsing polygamy!). As Nathan rehearses God’s kindness to David, he recalls how God delivered Saul’s “house and . . . wives” into David’s hand. The idea being conveyed here IS NOT that David took Saul’s wives as his own, but that the royal house came under David’s authority. Furthermore, although the author of 1–2 Samuel does not shy away from listing David’s wives, he never lists any of Saul’s wives among David’s. SO WHAT IS GOD'S ACCEPTED STANDARD FOR MARRIAGE IN THE BIBLE When Two Become One God's standard for marriage is revealed right from the very beginning with the First Couple, Adam and Eve. Biblical Scripture grounds and establishes monogamy in the created order, ordained by God himself as a picture of Christ and the church. Depictions of polygamy and concubinage in Scripture don’t overturn that fact. Instead, they reveal the ugliness and heartbreak that accompany sexual activity outside God’s established boundaries. Far from commending polygamy, narratives of polygamous patriarchs and kings in Israel reveal the spiritual and familial devastation inextricably linked to this sin. The biblical authors include the stories of polygamists not to inspire us to emulate Polygamy but to warn us. Whereas there are numerous explicit commands in Scripture which teach the people of God that polygamy is wrong, the stories of men like David, Solomon, Lamech and Abraham show us that Polygamy is ugly. It is a hideous perversion of one of God’s greatest gifts. From the muck and mire of Abraham, Jacob, and David’s broken families we are meant to see the beauty and goodness of God’s original design: “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh” (Genesis 2:24). |
