I was moved to quote u cos of ur topic.
Now in d NDA our seniors told us lik WEN U GO FOR BREAK, WE SHULD RELATE LESS WIT OUR CIVILIAN FRIENDS LIKE WE USED TO B4. LET OUR PARENTS SEE D NEW US FROM THE MILITARY PERSPECTIVE. WE SHOULD MAKE OURSELVES SEEN. At the end our seniors wuld say DO SO WIT STEALTH . Dis is now left to us to grasp. So wat d cadets did is wat we call CHAWUS. Just to Cause a scene dats all. because if I told u wat dos young chaps passed thru to get der, it's called CONFIDENCE JOB.
I remember my own story were my coursemate had issues in his state dat time and wat did he do. While we were in NDA he came to me n told me & begged me to follow him to his state den to deal wit d STRONG MAN #ALAGBARA in his area (because DOS DAYS I LOVE TROUBLE LIK FOOD, not now dat m a real Christian), i planned all. He payed for my flight to/fro his state, I will not mention d state because 1 of d people der culd b here on NAIRALAND today. We got der. U need to c wat happened dat day. A whole street CLOSED DOWN. D ALAGBARA (STRONG MAN) on d street was brought out n whooped in and out. U need to c how he was crying & c how d passers by kept hailing us to deal wit him. Long story short, we left him n we dispersed afterwards to our various homes. We were not up to 6 dat time n a whole street was silenced for hours.
So na dey r on der own mak dem use der senses
What if u were overpowered and beaten?

This is a soft way of recruiting young secondary school guys with impressionable minds. These cadets do this parade in public to create an image of power and authority and lures new interests and recruitment.

Their arrogance is part of the drama. Without the show of power young guys will not be interested. To survive in Nigeria you need power...not rule of law! If rule of law was suffice they will not dare interrupt traffic for 5mins without legitimate reason at the risk of arrest and court martial.
You mean it's the school that sends them out to do that to attract young boys?
PoliticsNDA Cadets Causing Problem In Lagos by AllforHim(op):
I created this new account for this post for security reasons. I was at Ikeja City Mall today to see a movie and five young boys dressed in camouflage came in dressed so well that people were admiring them. They formed two lines using a green and a red colour belt and beret with feathers and were taking same steps while one of them held a baseball stick. Few minutes after they formed a circle and kept extending it till the space left could contain only a person at once and we kept managing the space, no one dared pass through them cos of their looks.

I was trying to get a picture but was scared not to be caught. I followed them out, they kept walking with too much confidence and arrogance and pride and were looking at people with disgust. They entered a carribean restaurant.

My sister called my attentiom when they were leaving the mall, they went in same manner and went on the street, walking on the road confidently and majestically like its their father's house. No vehicle could pass, as they were moving slowly behind them honking and honking. They didnt leave the road for about 5 minutes constituting nuisance and walking. I managed to zoom from afar and got some pictures. They were without name tags.

This is not the first time this is happening, something should be done about this cos NDA is the only place where our military officers are trained. These boys should be talked to
