1. Friday, 26th August to mid-night on Sunday, 4th September, 2016: Re-opening of the Portal for online
registration

2. Wednesday, 7th to Friday, 9th September, 2016: Screening Exercise in the College of Health Sciences and respective Faculties/School (the respective venues will be published on the University website in due course and via sms to candidates)
3. Documents Needed for Screening Exercise:
(i) A clear copy of the Photo card printed online
(ii) JAMB Result print out
(iii) Original and photocopies of O’Level Examinations Certificate(s) (WASCE,
GCE, NECO, NABTEB) Examination Slips for Candidates awaiting results
(iv) Original and Photocopies of Birth Certificate/Age Declaration

Candidates should note that Inconsistency in name or picture on Photo Card will not be acceptable to the University and may lead to disqualification of affected candidates. Candidates’ names on their O’ Level Certificates, UTME results and other registration documents must be the same.

10. Recheck application information to avoid errors

12. You will receive an email and a sms that confirms your application

13. Return to www.scholastica.ng, enter your Email and Password to
download your profile and proceed to have your Head of Department
sign the document.
14. Upload a scanned copy of the signed profile, this would be used for
verification.
15. If National Identification Number (NIN) number was not available in
step 6, to obtain your National Identification Number (NIN)
Visit http://ninenrol.gov.ng to register and learn more about the
National Identity Number
Click “Create Account” and fill in the required fields
Login with Email and Password to complete the form
After completion, schedule a date for photo and finger print capture

Visit any of the capture centres https://www.nimc.gov.ng/?q=nin-
registration-centres to complete the registration process and obtain
your National Identity Number
You can also do your total registration at the NIMC office
16. Return to www.scholastica.ng/schemes/naocscholarships and update application with National Identification Number (NIN) to ensure completion

Note: Multiple applications attract a disqualification penalty from the
Scholarship board.

Great Improvement though

The West African Examination Council has reportedly released the list of the top 50 secondary schools in Nigeria based on the result of the 2015 May/June examination.

The list sees Layola Jesuit College leading the pack while no school in Lagos state appeared in the top five, with only a secondary school in Lekki area of the state appearing in number ten.

The students were among the eight that were confirmed dead in an accident that happened on Iroko Road via Ibadan, the Oyo state capital on Tuesday, May 5. The students’ names include; Ahmed Faisal, Kamal Muhammad and Abubakar Abdullahi, from Kano Capital School while Umar Musa, Sani Musa, Ibrahim Sani and Yusuf Danladi came from Unity College, Karaye, in the state.
