Every students have their own reasons for an exemption, whether false or real and these things are not done for free.

And if I would say it comes from the awaiting Corps members who falsifies their records. nysc will only verify docs presented to them. So far your birth certificate shows that you're 30 or below then you're good to go which shouldn't be so. There should be a system that both NYSC and the NPC can have access to and control so as to reduce if not eliminate age falsification. It is important that one register every birth with the NPC

Are you supporting Kemi or you are saying the DG doesn't know what he is saying? As a supporter of Kemi what was her reason for applying for exemption when she graduated at 22? When do they start applying for exemption letter at Abuja? Maybe it is new because one of my course mate that didn't go for NYSC 11 yrs ago was because his age was more than 30. He was 31 then because his age was showing in his GCE result and the NYSC form that we fill. I just called him to confirm now when I was reading your comment that you apply in Abuja. His Exemption letter was sent to him via our school or maybe the system has changed. What are the genuine reasons for a graduate of less than 30 yrs to be considered for exemption? Your friend didn't go to service because he was 31 and i'm categorically telling you that there are over 40yrs in various orientation camp today. Your friend missed the service because he followed normal procedure, believe me these same DG's are the ones tampering with the Nysc Act only because of money.

Forget Nysc Act, there are shortcut to all those things. The same Act says over 30 can't serve but there are over 40 in various camps.

What he is saying is that Kemi Adeosun doesn't quaify for exemption on any basis. As for Kemi in particular, she graduated at 22yrs of age so she can't be exempted under age by virtue of the NYSC Act.

On your 2nd point, he is calling the Application process...the mobilisation process; maybe semantics but that's not an issue.

Exemptions are granted base on genuine reasons and not basically on age.

My friends were below 30 when they got exempted. Nothing like fake here, it's all about bad politics.

Exemptions are not done in schools, you will have to go to Nysc headquarter in abj with your credentials and a form will be giving to you to state your reasons for exemption. This is Nigeria, they do it easily with some amount of money. That stupid man should go and sit down
