Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the incoming Health Secretary, reacts to President Trump's Executive Order to declassify the JFK, RFK, and MLK Jr. files.
JFK warned that “The very word ‘secrecy’ is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secrecy … We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it.”
The 60-year strategy of lies and secrecy, disinformation, censorship, and defamation employed by Intel officials to obscure and suppress troubling facts about JFK’s assassination has provided the playbook for a series of subsequent crises — the MLK and RFK assassinations, Vietnam, 9/11, the Iraq war and COVID — that have each accelerated the subversion of our exemplary democracy by the Military/Medical Industrial Complex and pushed us further down the road toward totalitarianism.
“A nation that does not trust its people is a nation that is afraid of its people.” A government that withholds information is inherently fearful of its citizens’ ability to make informed decisions and participate actively in democracy".
Thank you, President Trump for trusting American citizens and for taking the first step down the road towards reversing this disastrous trajectory.

President Trump lays out two conditions for federal aid to California:
1) Voter ID 2) Let the water flow
"Voter ID for the people of California, [and] the water to be released. And they'll get a lot of help from the U.S."
Let's see how Newscum will respond....

Four full days have now passed in the new Trump administration. On the fourth day of his term, President Trump:
-Ordered the declassification of all remaining government files on the JFK, RFK, and MLK assassinations.
-Gave pardons to 23 pro-life activists imprisoned by the Biden Administration for protesting at abortion clinics.
-Issued a memo at the Department of Homeland Security giving ICE new powers to rapidly deport migrants admitted into the U.S. during the Biden Administration.
-Rolled back Biden-era SEC guidances that discouraged banks from participating in cryptocurrency, and issued an executive order to rework crypto regulations to be more pro-growth.
-Had the Department of Education take down hundreds of reports and training materials that mention DEI and were used by schools set their DEI standards and practices.
-Ordered federal women's prisons to be limited to actual biological women, with biological men sent back to men's prisons.
Several of these moves are downstream of the orders President Trump signed on his first day in office. This administration is not just making showy promises and declarations. Every day, it is taking substantive steps to carrying them out.
1457 days to go.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced Friday that "deportation flights have begun," releasing photos of people boarding military aircraft.
"President Trump is sending a strong and clear message to the entire world: if you illegally enter the United States of America, you will face severe consequences," she wrote on X.
One of the photos was taken at Biggs Army Airfield at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas, U.S. Customs and Border Protection sources told Fox News. The sources added that the plane in the image holds 80 people and departed for Guatemala on Thursday at 5 p.m. local time.
It's unclear who was boarding the flights. Leavitt did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.
Additional U.S. troops also have arrived and started putting up wire near the Ysleta Port of Entry in El Paso, the CBP told Fox News.
Information obtained by Fox News Digital shows that between midnight Jan. 21 and 9 a.m. on Jan 22, a 33-hour period, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations arrested more than 460 illegal immigrants that include criminal histories of sexual assault, robbery, burglary, aggravated assault, drugs and weapons offenses, resisting arrest and domestic violence.
Agents arrested nationals from a slew of countries, including Afghanistan, Angola, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Senegal and Venezuela.

Foreign Affairs › Trump Orders Release Of Long-Secret Final Files On JFK, RFK, MLK Assassinations by Almiron(op): 9:53pm On Jan 23, 2025 |
WASHINGTON — President Trump on Thursday ordered the declassification and release of long-secret files on the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert F. Kennedy and civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.
Trump, 78, announced the actions in the Oval Office — after decades of speculation and conspiracy theories about each of the slayings.
President Kennedy was assassinated in November 1963 in Dallas — with Lee Harvey Oswald, the primary suspect, himself being shot dead two days later by Jack Ruby, spurring lasting debate about a possible conspiracy.
RFK was shot dead by Sirhan Sirhan, a Palestinian Christian, in June 1968 — shortly after winning California’s Democratic presidential contest.
King was fatally shot in April 1968 by James Earl Ray after federal authorities worked to undermine his anti-racial discrimination advocacy.

Foreign Affairs › US Doesn't Need Canadian Energy Or Cars - Trump by Almiron(op): 9:36pm On Jan 23, 2025 |
President Donald Trump has said the US does not need Canadian energy, vehicles or lumber as he spoke to global business leaders at the World Economic Forum.
Trump also reiterated his threat to impose tariffs on the country, saying it can be avoided if the neighbouring nation chose to "become a state" of the US.
"You can always become a state, and if you're a state, we won't have a deficit. We won't have to tariff you," he said to gasps in the hall in Davos.
Trump has threatened to impose up to 25% tariffs on Canadian imports, possibly by 1 February.
The renewed threat of tariffs has been met with deep unease by the trade-dependent Canada.
But it has also said it will consider significant countermeasures, including a "dollar-for-dollar" response if the Trump administration follows through.
Roughly 75% of Canada's exports head south. In contrast, Canada accounts for a much smaller 17% of US exports, though it is the second largest US trading partner, behind Mexico.
Trump in his remarks on Thursday said Canada had been "very tough to deal with over the years".
"We don't need them to make our cars, we make a lot of them, we don't need their lumber because we have our own forests... we don't need their oil and gas, we have more than anybody," he told forum attendees via video link from Washington DC.
Trump reiterated the assertion that the US has a trade deficit with Canada of between $200bn and $250bn. It's not clear where he got that figure.
The trade deficit with Canada - expected to be $45bn in 2024 - is mostly driven by US energy demands.
The North American auto industry also has highly integrated supply chains.
Auto parts can cross the borders between the US and Mexico and Canada multiple time before a vehicle is finally assembled.
Trump has also tied the tariffs to border security, saying it will be imposed unless Canada increases security at the shared border.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has repeatedly said that everything is on the table in response if the tariffs are imposed.
That includes a tax or embargo on energy exports to the US, though some of Canada's provincial leaders disagree with that response.
On Thursday, Trudeau told reporters that Canada's goal is to avoid US tariffs altogether but it will step up its response "gradually" to seek the quick removal of levies if they are imposed.
Canada is also pitching itself as a reliable trading partner and a secure source to the US for energy and critical minerals as it lobbies American lawmakers in a bid to avoid the tariffs.
Trump also said on Thursday that businesses should make their products in the US if they want to avoid tariffs.
Tariffs are a central part of Trump's economic vision - he sees them as a way of growing the US economy, protecting jobs and raising tax revenue.
The new president has ordered federal officials to review US trade relationships for any unfair practices by 1 April. Source: BBC

Foreign Affairs › Barron Trump Is Launching His Own Luxury Real Estate Company by Almiron(op): 9:19pm On Jan 21, 2025 |
Barron Trump, 18, appears to be following in his father’s footsteps — as he’s preparing to launch a luxury real estate venture with two young business partners.
The youngest son of President Donald Trump briefly incorporated his business, Trump, Fulcher & Roxburgh Capital Inc., last July in Wyoming, but the company was dissolved just four months later after Donald’s election win, according to a report in Newsweek.
The venture, which had listed Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach as its principal address, according to records obtained by The Post, is reportedly set to relaunch in spring 2025
Barron’s co-founder, Cameron Roxburgh, told the outlet the company was paused to avoid election-related media attention — but will eventually focus on high-end real estate projects, including golf courses and properties in Utah, Arizona and Idaho.
When reached for comment, Roxburgh — a high school classmate of Barron — told The Post they were “working out logistics,” and “might relaunch” in the spring. Source: NYPOST
