Messi didn't even score in 7 consecutive MLS matches, the so-called burger league. He's 39, and he's still competing with the hottest young footballers in the world, the likes of Haaland, Mbappé, Kane, and Dembélé. Messi is currently the highest goalscorer in the tournament and might actually win the Golden Ball because he's definitely going to outscore all of them.

When we celebrate his MLS goals, haters will say he's playing with part-time DoorDash delivery guys. 🤣 Now he has turned the World Cup into the MLS.

In other news, that Saudi fraud scored two goals against mountain herders from Uzbekistan. He was screaming "he's back," but when he played against a proper team yesterday, he was gone. He disappeared as quickly as he came back. What a deIusional cI0wn. 🤣

SportsMessi Becomes First Player To Score In Seven Consecutive World Cup Matches by Almiron(op): 1:03pm On Jun 28
DALLAS, June 27 (Reuters) - Lionel Messi became the first player to score in seven consecutive World Cup matches when he ‌netted for Argentina against Jordan in Dallas on Saturday, moving past Just Fontaine and Jairzinho.

Substitute Messi curled in a free kick from 25 metres in the 80th minute to make the score 3-1.

Messi’s hot streak started in Argentina’s 2-1 victory over Australia at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. He also netted against the Netherlands and Croatia, before scoring twice in an epic final with France ‌that ended with him lifting the trophy.

He continued that scoring run at the 2026 finals having netted a hat-trick against Algeria and another two versus Austria in Argentina's second game, with his strike against Jordan taking his tally of World Cup goals to a record-extending 19.
Fontaine scored in six consecutive matches for France in 1958, and Jairzinho did likewise for Brazil in 1970.

Arsenal have Fulham , westham, Newcastle to play which are winnable. Either with 1 point or goal difference, We wil win it. Man city will drop points

Iranian Woman Describes Fear, Checkpoints And People Used As ‘human Shields’

An anonymous Iranian woman has bravely stepped forward on the international stage to describe what's really happening on the ground in Tehran as President Donald Trump's two-week ceasefire with Iran tentatively began Tuesday.

In an essay published in The Australian, the anonymous author details nightly explosions, sweeping checkpoints and communications blackouts as a part of Iranian daily life since the beginning of operations launched by the United States and Israel in February.

"In effect, ordinary people have been turned into human shields within a vast militarized landscape," she wrote. "A pervasive sense of anger, paranoia and exhaustion has taken hold."

Flagrant public executions of protesters by the thousands by the Iranian regime in January moved residents to cheer on the initial days of attacks by U.S. and Israeli forces as Operation Epic Fury began on Feb. 28.

They say they’ve hit the leader’s residence," the author's daughter was quoted saying. "All the children were screaming and cheering. … Even our teacher was quietly snapping their fingers and dancing."

The author described everyday Iranians celebrating the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei that same Saturday, and the streets of Tehran filling with cheers of "death to the dictator."

Perhaps for the first time," the anonymous author recalled, "we allowed ourselves to believe our long-held dream was beginning to take shape."

But soon enough, the reality of day-to-day life under a threatened, crumbling regime and ongoing attacks took a toll. One of the harshest realities those on the ground in Iran face is the internet blackout, effectively ending communications with the outside world and leading to great uncertainty at the hands of the regime.

So far, none of those close to us have suffered physical harm, but no night is calm," the Iranian woman wrote. "What weighs most heavily is not only the war itself, but the possibility that it may end leaving behind a regime even more authoritarian, more repressive and more violent."

According to the author, a stubborn faction of regime supporters remain, blasting propaganda on loudspeakers nightly through the streets of Tehran and reinforcing its authority to those who support the revolution.

The streets are now covered with checkpoints," she wrote. "Under bridges and along main roads, movement is restricted. Long traffic lines form. Young people are stopped, their phones inspected under the pretext of routine checks."

After the announcement of the ceasefire between U.S. forces and the Iranian regime Tuesday, the author said, most of her country went to sleep that night in a "state of deep anxiety."

"What weighs most heavily is not only the war itself, but the possibility that it may end up leaving behind a regime even more authoritarian, more repressive, and more violent," the author notes.

She urged a ceasefire that is not "abandonment," but peace, destabilizing the Iranian regime.

"A ceasefire that stabilizes the current order, without addressing the demands that have brought Iranians into the streets for years, risks being experienced not as peace, but as abandonment," the author wrote.

Foreign AffairsSecond Crew Member From F-15 Downed In Iran Rescued By U.S. Forces by Almiron(op): 8:38am On Apr 05
A U.S. crew member who went missing when an F-15E fighter jet was shot down over a remote area of Iran was rescued by U.S. forces early Sunday morning local time, multiple U.S. officials told CBS News. The jet's pilot was rescued Friday.

"WE GOT HIM!" President Trump confirmed in a Truth Social post. "My fellow Americans, over the past several hours, the United States Military pulled off one of the most daring Search and Rescue Operations in U.S. History, for one of our incredible Crew Member Officers, who also happens to be a highly respected Colonel, and who I am thrilled to let you know is now SAFE and SOUND!"

The president said that the rescued officer had "sustained injuries, but he will be just fine."

Of the rescue operation, the president said that "at my direction, the U.S. Military sent dozens of aircraft, armed with the most lethal weapons in the World, to retrieve him."

The three rescue planes flew out of Iran to Kuwait, each just a short distance behind each other, the officials disclosed. The mission was completed just before midnight, with all U.S. forces out of enemy airspace.

The CIA was deeply involved in the rescue mission, a senior Trump administration official told CBS News Sunday.

Prior to locating the airman, the CIA launched a deception campaign, spreading word inside Iran that U.S. forces had already found him and were moving him on the ground for exfiltration out of the country.

While the deception operation was ongoing, the agency used its capabilities to track the crew member in a mountain crevice, the official said.

The CIA shared the crew member's exact location with the Pentagon and the White House, the official said. The president ordered an immediate rescue mission, with the CIA continuing to provide real-time information.

Foreign AffairsNick Cannon Backs President Trump And Speaks Out On ‘conservative’ Views by Almiron(op): 9:30pm On Mar 29
Nick Cannon is getting real about his political stance.

During Friday’s episode of Cannon's "Big Drive" online talk show, the "Masked Singer" host had an open conversation with model Amber Rose about President Donald Trump and the political parties.

"Democrats don’t care about Black people, and they don’t care about people of color, and the Republicans do, and that’s the misconception," Rose said
.

"I agree with you 100 percent," Cannon replied. "People don't know that the Democrats are the party of the KKK. People don't know that the Republicans are the party that freed the slaves

"I mean, both you and I have some conservative views," he continued. "You just a little bit more outspoken than I am. And honestly, I don’t subscribe to either party. I rock with W. E. B. Du Bois, when he said there’s no such thing as two parties. It’s just one evil party with two different names."

When the topic of conversation turned to Trump, Cannon said, "Motherf---er’s cleaning house," and is "doing what he said he was gonna do."

"We got the Gulf of America now. [Trump is] like the club. He’s charging a $5 million bottle service fee to get into the country. I f--- with Trump," he added

"Unfortunately, the ‘woke’ left cancels people for having a different ideology," she told Maxim. "Fortunately for me, I don’t give a f--- and will always stand 10 toes down until the wheels fall off, regardless of what my beliefs may be. I used to be on the left and thought I was doing the right thing. That’s why it’s so important to have open conversations."

"On the left, there’s no objective truth. It’s only about feelings," she stated. "As a society, we all need to get back to reality and have these difficult conversations to bring us all back to a better place."

Foreign AffairsTrump Puts Off Threat To Bomb Iran Power Grid; 3 Countries Reportedly Mediating by Almiron(op): 2:43pm On Mar 23
TEL AVIV/JERUSALEM/WASHINGTON, March 23 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday he had given orders to postpone any military strikes against Iranian power plants for five days, hours ahead of a deadline that threatened further escalation in the conflict now in its fourth week.

Trump added in a post ‌on his Truth Social platform that the U.S. and Iran had had "VERY GOOD AND PRODUCTIVE" conversations over the past two days about a "COMPLETE AND TOTAL RESOLUTION OF HOSTILITIES IN THE MIDDLE EAST".

A reporter for the U.S. news outlet Axios said Turkey, Egypt and Pakistan had met White House envoy Steve Witkoff and, separately, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

The reporter, Barak Ravid, cited an unnamed U.S. source as saying the discussion was about ending the war and resolving all outstanding issues.
Araghchi's ministry said there were "initiatives" to reduce tensions, the Mehr news agency reported, adding that Tehran wanted Washington, as the party that began the war, to be a direct participant.

The White House did not respond to questions about the content of the talks, who participated or where they were held.

In his message, written entirely in capital letters, Trump said he had instructed the defense department to postpone the strikes pending the outcome of the talks. He also told Fox Business Network that Iran wanted badly to make a deal, which could come inside five days.

A source briefed on Israel's war plans said Washington had kept it informed of its talks with Tehran, and that Israel was likely to follow Washington in suspending any targeting of Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure.

The Israeli prime minister's office did not immediately respond to a request for comment on talks with Iran or Washington's decision to suspend strikes on some Iranian targets.

Trump's comments briefly sent the price of the Brent crude oil benchmark down around 13% to back below $100 a barrel. By 1245 GMT, it stood around $101.80.

Global markets also recovered sharply, with U.S. stock futures reversing losses to gain around 1.3%.

Foreign AffairsGood Thing He’s Out - Trump Reacts To Intel Official's Resignation Over Iran by Almiron(op): 10:31pm On Mar 17
President Donald Trump said Tuesday it's a "good thing" that National Counterterrorism Center Director Joe Kent resigned in protest of the Iran war because Kent thought "Iran was not a threat.

"I read his statement," Trump said during a meeting at the White House with Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin on St. Patrick's Day. "I always thought he was a nice guy, but I always thought he was weak on security, very weak on security."

Kent served under Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who has rejected "regime-change wars" for years.

"I didn't know him well, but I thought he seemed like a pretty nice guy, but when I read his statement, I realized that it's a good thing that he's out," Trump said. "Because he said that Iran was not a threat.

"Iran was a threat. Every country realized what a threat Iran was. The question is whether or not they wanted to do something about it."

Trump added there is no room for Iran to have nuclear weapon ambitions.

"If I didn't terminate Obama's horrible deal that he made, the Iran nuclear deal, you would have had a nuclear war four years ago," Trump continued. "You would have had nuclear holocaust, and you would have had it again if we didn't bomb the site."

Nor is there room in his administration for a doubter, Trump added

So when somebody is working with us that says they didn't think Iran was a threat: We don't want those people," he said.

"They're not smart people, or they're not savvy people.

"Iran was a tremendous threat, and virtually every NATO nation" agreed, Trump concluded.

Kent announced his resignation in an X post earlier Tuesday.
