Nigeria and Africa can only catch up with them if we start teaching and improving our 100% traditional industries in our schools and universities so that we can improve on them if not Africa can never catch-up with them again. The Europeans learnt iron smiting from Africa which they then improved on in the schools and universities.

Nigerians and Africans are making a mistake about China and Japan. China has been developing from the same time as the Europeans have been and also China was the one that invented the Gunpowder which the Europeans copied from.

The European's Iron industry was once like this our 100% local one too in the past but they took that knowledge to their colleges, polytechnics and university to research and improve on it this was what they did with all the other traditional sectors which hold knowledge from the time of creation. But in Nigeria and Africa schools, colleges, polytechnics and universities look down on these Traditional industries which are meant to be taught in schools and universities so that we can improve on them as the Europeans have done. Because we now see them as inferior to the products from the developed countries.

Nigerians made copper, clothes and many more locally before Europeans came and if these were taught in our schools and universities they would have been improved by now.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFsoXPRQnbg

This was the first motor car the Europeans made and they continued to teach it in their schools and universities which have helped them to improve on it to what we have now and they have continued with these improvements.
Some Niger Delta youth with no educational background know how to crack crude oil in layman's term but don't want start a modular refinery instead they illegally refine it without license . If it is China they will provide the best refinery . I saw that China is the leading country producing oil rigs like 2 or 3 in a year with thousands of engineers. They use diamond for the mouth of pipe drilling. Nigeria has a long way to go in research and development .

The rig has modern sensors to map the sea by detection of water or crude oils (black oil). Everything is digitalize. It is like controlling Xbox controller but any slightest mistake might cause an explosion

I actually have no clue about how much to pay for a betting app that should be connected to a gambling site. However, I apologize for stealing the thread a bit. I would like to know if there is any developer here that could make an app out of my site: https://paynplayutanlicens.se. The app should tell the toplist and be able to show the reviews.

Bank of industry Nigerian funding can't work for tech because the people working with them don't have the idea of a successful tech business roadmap. We are still in the 80s when it comes to innovation.

The problem is that those that brought education to Nigeria only did so to get cheap labour to help them manage their conquered colonies, but not how to use education for technological advancement of Nigeria and Africa.

A part of NASA's shuttle re-entry technology was created by the University of Liverpool research team. Those tech companies you mentioned give research projects to universities in developed countries around the world. Many of the guys they are employing are through connections and are just using the research work from universities they have partnered with to solve these problems for them and the organisations you mentioned have the financial investors or big government contracts to commercialise these tools and claim them as their own.
It's just so disappointing that in third world countries like Nigeria people are so naive as to not know how things operate in the developed countries due to lack of exposure.
The reasons is that NITDA is behind and we don't have the finance backing because Nigeria reserve is less the $40 billion dollars. Nigeria has the locally made materials but how to refine them to finished product is a problem. Wealthy individuals ,Universities, corporations, research institutes and corporations can accelerated collaboration to improve funding .

China was able to create it's own lithography machine from scratch when ASML stop supplying them . Now they are able for build 3nm chips and even GPU that surpass Nvidia blackwell architecture I don't know if the claims are true. They reverse engineered and tweaked the technology by adding more innovation and features.

Without money to start a tech firm and recruit the best talent or mafia connection to get a tech role anyone going to uni to study computer science, computer engineering or software engineering will struggle or may not to find work in programming when there are plenty of programming jobs because those with degrees in other fields or no degree at all are the ones getting most of the programming roles due to their mafias connections, because the mafias are the ones making all the noise that anyone can code and even though the projects they work on in commercial companies end up failing they even get promoted when those qualified in programming find it hard to get such roles.
It is not only connection to get a good job in Nigeria you need to read hard and apply at least 100 jobs yearly. Those people you called Mafias don't sleep at night but the day due to hectic delivery and deadlines.

In Nvidia, Google, and Microsoft their research and development team work tirelessly at night to make these new tools .

In 2022 I said something about text to game using AI in this forum I realized some months later it was built. I even specifically said sometime about text to 3d design. Corporations are looking for ideas to outsource . Funding is why many technology engineers is still struggling in Nigeria while US and China are pouring hundreds of billions of dollars in AI technology.

You don't need too much knowledge to be in tech just the money ,ideas and top talent at your disposal the sky is your limit. Look at blord tech and Blockchain entrepreneur he created Bill point. You don't need to know any programming languages to become a tech inventor . Look at Elon Musk revolutionized ideas to reality.

Problems of Nigeria developers is that they code too much but forget to realize that money and other factors are needed to be successful note that failure is part of success. Talent in coding without money is useless.

Please I'm still awaiting any contribution
Try to use sim hosting and payment gateway hosting when web server is down it will work . You will use other APIs for bill payment providers, such as:
- Electricity bill payment APIs (e.g., PHCN, Ikeja Electric)
- Betting and gaming APIs (e.g., SportyBet, Bet9ja)
- Other utility bill payment APIs (e.g., water, waste, gas)

Some great inventors of all time that contributed to computer development you are now calling them Mafia and they should lose their license or job . Software development won't have license to practice like medical doctor . Uncle Bob is afraid of the outstanding software developers globally. I love his works on clean architecture he should remove politics from coding don't kill innovation as far as it is beneficial to the society.
ProgrammingRe: Is Software In Danger Of Regulation? - Uncle Bob by Alphabyte3: 6:12pm On Feb 16, 2025
Many will lose their job if this happens. Most top developers don't have degrees in computer science or engineering even In top corporations. The problem is that the bodies or FED will put a backdoor in most applications serving as way to control it remotely intensionally . The most safest operating system is Mac and iOS it will take even security agencies forever to hack especially when you don't log your socials in a browser. I am not against regulation but software bug sometimes are features to monitor people.

MindHacker9009:
Regulating software development is quickly needed as the low barrier to entry has allowed mafias to take over the software development sector.

Regulation will make sure that only those with a degree in computer science, software engineering or computer engineering are allowed to develop software for commercial use based on their level of expertise and they must also belong to a professional body like the BCS for CPD.

50% tariff hike for telecommunications companies by NCC .Programmers in Nigeria are likely feeling the pinch of the recent tariff hikes by MTN, Glo, Airtel, and 9mobile. With data, call and SMS prices increasing by up to 50%, many programmers may struggle to afford the internet and communication services they need to work effectively.

To take common garri is no longer N500 now N800. Maybe we have to japa to Europe,Canada or the UK since it is our contingency plan. I don't advice people who can't do 2 to 3jobs to japa because that can tell on your mental health.
