WannaHowzit: In an extraordinary display of fan enthusiasm, tickets for American singer Chris Brown’s upcoming concert at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg sold out in less than three hours, packing the 94 700-capacity venue.
The concert, set for 14 December 2024, is part of Brown’s highly anticipated South African tour. Fans snapped up the tickets as soon as they went live, with excitement building around the American R&B superstar’s return to South African soil.
This level of demand is reminiscent of Justin Bieber’s 2013 performance at the same venue, where tickets also sold out to young fans in mere hours.
However, not all major artists have found the same success in Johannesburg.
Naysayers had drawn comparisons between Brown’s show and the recent controversial Burna Boy concert at FNB Stadium, which struggled with ticket sales and ultimately fell short of filling the venue.
In response to the overwhelming demand, concert organisers Big Concerts have now added a second date.
Fans who missed out on the original show will have another chance to see Chris Brown live, with a newly announced performance set for Sunday, 15 December 2024.
Tickets for the additional show will go on sale at 10am on Friday, 4 October, exclusively via Ticketmaster.
All tickets for the Chris Brown shows will be 100% digital, mobile-only tickets available through verified Ticketmaster accounts.
Ticket prices range from N56,000 to N470,000.
I'm pretty sure he will feature one or two Nigerian artists..... Burna, wizards, Davison, lojay, rema, asake. Just watch out!😁
DeLaRue: I personally don't have a problem with the price of electricity, though I can understand that the experience of those in Band A is probably different.
I have always used electricity judiciously, so any pre paid electricity I buy tends to last for a reasonable length of time.
I have always been fastidious about switching off all gadgets FROM THE WALL.
First thing I do when I get out of bed is to pull my curtains so I take advantage of natural light. So, most if not all internal lights are off for most parts of the day unless I absolutely need it.
If I am leaving a room and not returning to that room within 5 mins, I switch off the light. Lights in any room that is not occupied is always switched off.
These are just habits that have become part of my routine. I don't do them because of electricity bill, but it has a very positive effect on my electricity bill. I have not bought electricity for about 3 months now, so cost of electricity is really not an issue for me.
Many Nigerians use electricity wastefully because we have one of the cheapest electricity prices in the world. But that is going to change with the introduction of new bands.
Sharaap! It's obvious you still a child or you not a band A user.
