Wike should have related with the senior officers directly. Going to confront the officers acting on Ogas order wasn't necessary at all.
Either the land acquisition is legal or illegal, it's a civil matter which is to totally out of military jurisdiction ,but that last approach by Wike was wrong.

They should pls gear that energy to the protection of the country and against territorial enemies of Nigeria: terrorists, Jihadists, etc.

Do research before you talk Oga. There is nothing like military hierarchy!! Soldiers are bound to take (legal) orders , constitutional orders. Soldiers don't take orders to commit crime . Check the Nigerian constitution , supreme Court judgements and other judicial precedent about that. In developed Countries, soldiers resign for failing their country.

What the young officer and his Boss did was corrupt ; using influence and status to prevent Wike from doing his job. Wike was appointed by the President to take charge of Abuja. A military officer using his status to block the Minister from doing his job amount to abandoning his duty to protect Nigeria against foreign aggression instead went to stand guard in a piece of land. What a shame.

The issue isn't all about land papper validity but the actual designation of the land: is it for commercial or residential purpose? Is the current owner developing it in line with the fct design of commercial use?

Vice Admiral AZ Gambo is senior to the current CDS, General Oluyode, and by that, the CDS cannot go against his orders. This is simple military tradition and precedence.

The only person that can give a counter order to the orders of Vice Admiral Gambo is the Commander-In-Chief, Tinubu, but even Tinubu must be careful because there’s a way he’d handle the matter in favour of the law (Wike) and he would anger the rank and file of the military establishment which will not be good at all.
