Hello everyone, I applied in 2019 for PR to join my wife who is a Canadian citizen, I was refused because the VO was not convicted our marriage was genuine because we applied immediately after our marriage ceremony, I met my wife online we dated for 6 years online before we got married, we met in person twice before our marriage, first time was for 2 weeks visit outside Canada and the second time was 3 weeks that was when we got married, since our refusal 2022 because the 2019 PR application too more than 2 years before we got refused due to the COVID pandemic, my wife have visited me twice 2022 and 2023 we celebrated our 4th year wedding anniversary. We applied for a visitors visa to visit my wife in Canada to be able to celebrate Christmas together and also to meet with her family, my TRV was refuse February 8 2024. After the refusal we decided to apply for PR again when we got AOR we apply for a visitor visa dual intent for me to be about to visit my wife and celebrate our 5th year anniversary also addressed the refusal reason for the first visitor visa on the new application sadly I got another refusal. Do you think the reason for those refusal is because of my first PR refusal because the reason for the refusal is not really making sense to me. Now I am worried if this will affect our PR application in progress, PR Biometric done, Medical passed, sponsor approved just waiting for pre-arrival and PPR. I am so worried after all this refusal. Please what is your thoughts and opinions about my situation?

Hi, not to be scared, your PR application will be approved provided your BG check is fine, but when is what I can't say, I know folks stuck on BG check for over 6 months and no end in sight.

Now to address the dual intent, i think these VOs (offices/officers) don't have a base guidelines of approval on these type of things. As a matter of fact, I was in same category as you are, submitted TRV just 3 weeks after submitting Spousal (i never even collect AoR sef, talk more of spousal approval), first time my MP reached out to the visa office a month after submission, the reply was that my TRV will be rejected cus of dual intent, blah blah blah. i followed up with my MP when my processing time elapsed, as at when i submitted, i think it was 147 days from 9ja, the following week, i got the visit visa approved. As i type, eligibility for spousal hasn't not started according to 2 GCMS (with the latest received this month).

This begs the question, how exactly do they base the application and give a decision on dual intent? nobody knows. Just keep calm, hope for a speedy approval for your PR and pray for the best.
Thank you very much for your response, this have made me a bit relaxed. Please can we talk over the phone if you don’t mind. you were in same category like myself I will like to discuss more with you Jackson, here is my WhatsApp number please 07069349325

I had concrete information about this your case in the past, the coco is that you should not put up the two simultaneously they will purposely Bleep the visitor visa application up for the PR to go on, I think because of the money involved
Please was the PR approved?

Each application is processed independently, I know someone who had Visitor visa refused and Spousal approved after awhile.
Having a current spousal application doesn’t exactly scream I plan to visit my spouse and come back to Nigeria 🇳🇬 to the visa officer.
You and/or your spouse should keep sending webform appealing for prompt processing as you already have SA approval. Do you know the visa office processing the application?
Yes it’s Kenya office for the visitors visa and PR Ghana

Hello @Everyone!
My study permit application was refused yesterday based on the following factors:
• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel
for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).
I paid for two years of tuition, had two statement of accounts of 26 million Naira and 28,000 Dollars.
I'm feeling let down and could use some guidance - any advice would be appreciated.
I have more than 20m in my account for my VV, all my family are here in Nigeria, parents get care and support from me, I included property documents, business CAC, photo of my business premises. I addressed everything they stated for the refusal, my wife there In Canada I was supposed to visit for our 5 year wedding anniversary funny I got this.

Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).
• You have significant family ties in Canada.
• You do not have significant family ties outside Canada.
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.

Good evening everyone, please I have dual intent application in progress, visitors Visa and spouse sponsorship application, I have done my biometric, medical passed, SA approval for my the spouse sponsorship application, for the visitors visa I just got a refusal letter today and the reason was baseless because I have everything addressed in the visitor visa application. My family ties, more than 20m in my account, properties documents. Travel history. Hope it’s not going to affect my family class application because, the stage I am right now in my PR application is background check. Anyone have experience this before and what is the success rate for my PR and what will likely happen? Share you thoughts please.

Thank you so much, I actually renew my passport maybe that is the reason why I got the biometrics request payment, I have also sent a webform in regards to the previous or old active biometrics.

MyGodisAwesome:
His old biometrics was valid for 3years, I paid for a new one because he just recently renewed his passport (10years) so I wanted his visa to be valid for 10years.

IRCC didn’t acknowledge that I paid for the new one as the old biometrics valid for 3years was still showing up in his portal.

I sent several webforms with proof of new biometrics payment and that was rectified. Although my case and yours are not entirely the same, but I believe yours should be resolved if you submit proof of payment via webform aswell.
TravelRe: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Alvinbrownn: 8:07pm On Jan 22, 2024
Did you submit the previews proof of payment or you paid a new one and submitted.

MyGodisAwesome:
This happened to my dad. All I did was submit proof of payment and uploaded it via webform and this rectified the issue. I will advise you do the same. Cheers!
TravelRe: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Alvinbrownn: 6:31pm On Jan 22, 2024
Thanks I have paid for a new biometrics and submitted it, but was wondering if they don't have the record anymore.

Kennyg290:
I would have said no gree for them since you have the old receipt, but still better if you can forgo and pay for another biometric as sent to you. They have records of it so for them sending for a new means something. So do it
TravelRe: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Alvinbrownn: 6:28pm On Jan 22, 2024
Thanks for your responses.

aderemi166:
Raise a webform to this effect by sending(upload) the old biometrics receipt to
IRCC using

https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

and mail to nrobi-immigration@international.gc.ca.

Tunrayoluv:
You should not pay for another biometrics, your biometrics is valid for 10years. I hope you answered all the questions correctly in your application because the immigration system should automatically match your details with the database and update the record so you should not get a new biometrics request. Just upload the receipt of the first application and you should be fine.
Yes I answered correctly

Hi guys, please I need your help I got a request letter from IRCC to pay $85 for biometrics. And have the receipt submitted within 7days. I have done biometrics, which was in 2020 during my PR application that was refused in 2022. do I need to pay for a new biometric or just submit the old biometrics receipt?

[1quote author=BoNsi post=127848453]Seems like they’ve forgotten September applicants 🥺. Please is there anyone who applied for visit visa in September that has gotten a decision?
My spouse’s graduation is in March and I pray I don’t miss it. I’m so anxious…
