CHIDIMMA ADETSHINA: GOD HATES THOSE WHO JUSTIFY WICKEDNESS Comments are littered all over social media from many Nigerians against South Africans for kicking against Chidimma Adetshina and her participation in the Miss Universe 2024 holding in Mexico. According to the comments, South Africans are jealous and xenophobic to demand justice after investigation proved that Chidimma's mother stole a South African woman's Identity to register herself as a citizen of that country, an action Chidimma benefitted from. Chidimma lived under false identity and enjoyed undue privileges for decades because of her mother's alleged WICKED action. Reports say her mother deprived another woman of her identity, making her suffer for months before she could register her own newborn child. The woman had to be given a new identity before she could register her child. Well, many might say the alleged offense was committed when Chidimma was just an infant. So she cannot be held for it. Now that she has come of age and is well aware of the allegation, what has she done to address it? Why is she still carrying on with the identity? Why didn't she and her mother show up when they were invited by South African authorities to clear their name? A BBC report says she has failed to speak or issue any statement to justify her snub of the invitation. In the face of all of these, some Nigerians still attack South Africans for demanding justice. Are we so neck-deep in corruption that we are so eager to shield evil even when our image is at stake? Are we not proving to the world that we lack integrity? Or how do you explain inviting Chidimma to compete in Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 when we were aware of the allegation against her? How do we explain her emergence as the winner of Miss Universe Nigeria? How do we explain sending her to a world competition as our representative despite an allegation against her? The few Nigerians that pointed these things out are usually attacked by a gang of people who themselves can't stand being cheated. Yet they protect the wicked because of tribalism and condemn those that speak against wickedness, labeling them xenophobic. God hates such people. Proverbs 17:15 KJV He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, Even they both are abomination to the LORD For Chidimma and her mother, it is advisable they go clear their name now because the wicked will one day be punished. Proverbs 11:21 KJV Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: But the seed of the righteous shall be delivered Isaiah 3:11 KJV Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him Why have I written this piece? Ezekiel 3:18 KJV When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Ecclesiastes 8:11 KJV Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. To the righteous man out there, don't be vexed when you see the wicked prosper, such that it seems as if there is no punishment waiting. Note that their destruction is forever. Psalm 92:7 KJV When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever https://www.facebook.com/share/p/19c9jPGmMd/?mibextid=oFDknk

osuulola:Why are you so fixated on "show me where monetary tithe"? I gave you verses that showed that we are to pay tithe of all, yet you ask to see where money is included. Is money not also part of all things? Below says tithes all of our possession, which includes money. Luke 18:12 KJV 12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. I already explained to you that circumcision does nothing. What God requires is circumcision of the heart which comes with faith in Jesus. Many men believed in God before circumcision was instituted through Abraham. Are you saying they are not in even because they never got circumcised? Once again, circumcision plays no part in our salvation, that's why Paul spoke against it. It was done in the past to show other believers that we are now part of them. However, things like baptism and works are done today to show other believers our faith. Circumcision was symbolic, that's why it gave way for what it represented, which is circumcision of the heart. That's just the same way sacrificing lambs were symbolic because they moved out of the way once Jesus the Holy Lamb of God was sacrificed for us. You quoted the below verse to prove dispensation. John 4:21 21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. In what way and manner does this prove your point? You dispensationalists love to use that false doctrine to negate the Old Testament. Concerning tithing, you all love to quote the below verse to claim that cheerful giving has replaced tithing, which you all say is based on compulsion. 2 Corinthians 9:7 KJV Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver What you all fail to realize is that cheerful giving is not something new that only showed up in the New Testament. It was also in the Old Testament as seen below. So it doesn't replace tithing. Deutoronomy 16:17 KJV 17 Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the Lord thy God which he hath given thee. Cheerful giving doesn't replace tithing. Tithing is giving God what belongs to him because he said the tithe is the Lord's. Cheerful giving is giving God what belongs to you. |
osuulola:I don't seem to know what your point is right here. osuulola:Who told you tithe doesn't include money? Look, tithing has a lot to do with money as well as other things. Any increase you get in life, you must pay a tithe of it. That's why Abraham, after getting the spoils of war, which was an increase to him, paid a tithe of it. The spoils of war could have been anything including food stuff, swords, armours, and money. That's why the Bible said Abraham gave a tithe of all Genesis 14:20. It didn't said he only gave a tithe of agricultural produce. Even during the advent of the law, the same law says to pay a tithe of all thine increase. Deuteronomy 14:28 At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates: Proverbs 3:9 Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So you see, tithing 8nvolves every increase you make, including financial increase, be it salary or money you were dashed. Any increase is what the Bible said. osuulola:Abraham was a priest and the father of our faith, yet he gave tithe to Melchizedek who is Jesus. So your logic lacks weight. osuulola:No dispensation changed. Dispensationalism is false doctrine. Remember I told you that some laws are symbolic. Or how else do you make sense of the law that prohibits wearing clothes of different fabric? That's why I gave you the interpretation of that law in an earlier post. Now, circumcision predates the law but it was symbolic. Chopping off a part of one's manhood really does nothing. It was just a shadow of what was to come, which is circumcision of the heart. That's why Paul preached against it. God permitted circumcision as a way for believers in the time of Abraham to show their faith to the world. However, many people like the Pharisees got circumcised but lacked faith in Jesus the Son of God. Those who had faith in Jesus were circumcised in the heart, therefore the symbolic circumcision was no longer needed, hence Paul's stand against it |
Petalss:It is not a claim but fact which you can't disprove. I laid down the facts above and no one has been able to disprove them. |
osuulola:Not all laws are symbolic. Thou shall not kill can never be symbolic. Why do you now think paying tithe, which God says is his money, should be symbolic? Tithe of the spoils of war is still tithe. He won a battle and gained properties as a result of it. Tell me, where is it written that the spoils of war is a bad thing, and so Abraham show never have paid from it? God gave Abraham victory and in acknowledging God's hand in the victory, Abraham paid tithe of the spoils. The verse you quoted to prove that levitical priesthood is over, do you know that it actually supports tithing? Levitical priesthood was replaced by the Melchizedek priesthood. Go and find out who Melchizedek is. For your information, Melchizedek is Jesus whom Abraham paid tithe of the spoils to in Genesis. So you see, tithing predates the Levitical priesthood. |
Brenbentondiaz:Which Bible verse says it is not compulsory to pay tithe? You PAY tithe because you owe it. Giving is not compulsory, but tithe is because it belongs to God. |
osuulola:That law is not literal but symbolic. It simply means don't be someone who is this and that e.g honest and dishonest. If you want to be honest, be honest. If you want to be dishonest, be dishonest. But being both at the same time is similar to wearing garments of diverse sorts. It is the same as the law that prohibits against eating certain animals. See below Leviticus 11:3-8 KJV 3 Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat. 4 Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the hoof: as the camel, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you. 5 And the coney, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you. 6 And the hare, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you. 7 And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you. 8 Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you. The above passage warns against eating camel and hate, but we eat them today. If we eat them today, then it means we do so because we understand that the verse was not really saying those meat are not good. Even though people of those days avoided those meat, the law was actually passing a message. It simply means don't talk the talk when you won't walk the walk. The camel cheweth the cud i.e talks the talk but he doesn't divide the hoof i.e walk the walk. That explains those who say they believe Jesus saved them but are quick to say they can lose their salvation, which is a lack of faith. They talk the talk of faith but can't walk the walk of faith. The swine divides the hoof i.e walks the walks but cheweth not the cud i.e talk the talk. This is someone like Judahs who walked with Jesus but couldn't express the faith in Jesus. So those laws on clothing and meat were symbolic, though practiced then. We now understand their intent. And also the Bible has given us permission to eat all things. Romans 14:2-4 KJV 2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. 3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. 4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. Acts 10:12-15 KJV 12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air. 13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat. 14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean. 15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common. |
CAN THOSE WHO KICK AGAINST TITHE HAVE SEX.X WITH THEIR MOTHER? Romans 6:14 KJV for ye are not under the law, but under grace Those who say Christians are not to obey the law of tithing often quote the above verse to justify their belief. According to them, tithing is under the law, and since the Bible says we are no longer under the law but grace, then Christians don't need to pay tithe. Before I go ahead, I'll like to ask such people one question. Can they have sex.x with their mother or father? Now, let's understand what Romans 6:14 is actually saying. The verse says "for ye are not under the law, but under grace". The verse in no way says we are no longer to obey the law. It is simply saying that we are covered by grace. When it comes to salvation, eternal life, being justified and making heaven, the verse is saying it is not by obeying the law but by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ through faith. Galatians 2:16 KJV 16 Knowing that a man is NOT justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. Romans 3:20 KJV 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. If salvation is by the works of the law, we would all end up in hell fire. That is what the below verse clearly explains. James 2:10 KJV 10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all As seen above, if you want to make heaven by keeping the law instead of abiding under the grace of Jesus Christ, then make sure you get a 100% score. If you get 99% and failed only 1%, you will not only be guilty of the 1% but the whole 100%. God knew humans cannot keep the entire law, that's why he sent his grace. No human can keep the entire law because we are all sinners. Any man on earth today that says he is without sin is a deceiver and lacks the truth in him. 1 John 1:8 KJV 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us Because we know we will always sin and transgress the law, the humble among us take shelter under grace and are saved. Can you now see why we are no longer under the law? Then why do we still obey the law? We obey the law because we love God. John 14:15 KJV If ye love me, keep my commandments. Also, keeping God's commandments helps us show love to our neighbors and keeps us from harm. God said "Thou shall not kill". If I love my neighbor, I won't kill him. If I don't want to go to jail or be killed, I won't commit murder. So obeying God's law not only shows love for God but also love for myself and neighbors. That is why we keep the law. We don't keep the law because we think it can get us to heaven. Now, if we are to keep the law to show that we love God, then we are to tithe as commanded by God. If any man says we are not to tithe and keep the law because we are under grace, ask such a fellow if he can have sex.x with his mother which the law warns against. Leviticus 18:7 KJV 7 The unclothedness of thy father, or the unclothedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her unclothedness. MORE 20 Moreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour's wife, to defile thyself with her. 21 And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the Lord. 22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. 23 Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/v8vEhavmWRvvwtee/?mibextid=oFDknk

Clairvoyancy:Remember that I posted a verse above that says we are all sinners, we sin almost everyday. Even after we are saved, we still sin, knowingly and unknowingly. However, when we sin, God chastens and scourges us because we are his sons. Hebrews 12:6 KJV For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth The above is how God punished his son's who sin and it happens here on earth. Nowhere is it stated that he throws his own sons into hell fire. It is those whose sins have not been paid by Jesus Christ because they refused to accept his gift of salvation that end up in hell. Those that accepted his salvation don't face punishment for their sins after death because Christ already paid their debt. If you keep going back to sin after you are saved, God will keep punishing you and scourging you until you come to your senses. Same way a father beats and punishes his disobedient child. However, no father burns his child in fire for disobedience. If we humans can't do that, why then do you think our heavenly father will do such to his children? Clairvoyancy:You see all those sins listed above, Christians who are saved also commit them. Do you want to know something else? Christians will never miss the kingdom of God because of those sins. Why is that so? It is so because the debt they owe for those sins have been paid by Jesus who suffered the punishment on their behalf. You may look at a Christian today and see a gambler, alcoholic, thief, fornicator, adultery, extortionist, etc. But when God sees that Christian, he sees his son Jesus Christ. Why is that so? When Jesus died on the cross, he took upon himself our sins. He was killed like a transgressor, a common criminal despite being sinless. He was made sin for us to become righteous. 2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Remember the Garden of Eden. After Adam and Even sinned, they became naked and ashamed. To cover their unclothedness, they used leaves. However, leaves will dry up and expose their unclothedness again. That was when God showed up and killed a lamb then used the lamb's skin (leather) to make clothes for them. That leather lasts than leaves. The leaves represented man's works of righteousness which couldn't do much. The leather represented God's righteousness which is everlasting. Ask yourself, what sin did the lamb commit that he had to die. He committed no sin but died for the sins committed by Adam and Even. His blood was shed for them to be forgiven. That lamb pictured Jesus Christ who is called the Holy Lamb slain from the foundation of the world - Revelations 13:8. Adam and Eve sinned, the lamb paid the price. We Christians sinned, Jesus paid the price. |
Clairvoyancy:You don't seem to get it. Sin was what Jesus came to defeat for us because we couldn't conquer it ourselves. Matthew 1:21-23 KJV And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people FROM THEIR SINS. If we could live a life without sin, then we won't need Jesus. But God knew we couldn't do it ourselves, so he sent his Son to face the punishment meant for us. Don't you think it stupid to punish someone again even after another person has paid for his offense? If Jesus saved us from sin, which he defeated, how dare you still say sin can still conquer hom and steal us from him? The Bible says "There's none righteous, no not one." The same Bible also says "For all have sinned...". There's nowhere it says there are some who are without sin. Anybody that says he has no sin, even the smallest of sins, is a liar and has no truth in him and should never be listened to. I didn't say so, the Bible did as seen below. 1 John 1:8 KJV If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. Because we know we are sinners, we rely on Jesus who paid the debt on our behalf on the cross. Jesus made us blessed because he not only forgave our sins, he covered them and promised us in future tense that he will not IMPUTE SIN on us. That's what the Bible said below. Romans 4:7-8 KJV 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are FORGIVEN, and whose sins are COVERED. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord WILL NOT IMPUTE SIN. The assurance that he won't IMPUTE SIN on us lies in the fact that he gave us everlasting life which is a life that lasts forever. Now, tell me how sin can put an end to an everlasting life? Sin has no power over it because it is everlasting. If you say otherwise, then it means you are saying God lied when he said the life he gave us is everlasting. It means you have called God a liar like Adeboye. John 5:24 KJV Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. |
Clairvoyancy:You are helping him with his lies. Here you say one can by himself walk out of the salvation of Jesus. That is a big lie because Jesus himself said no man can pluck us out of his hands. If you are not a man, you can pluck yourself out of his hand. But as long as you are a man aka human being, you can never pluck yourself out of his hand because he's stronger than you and keeps you safe with his strength. He also promised that you will NEVER PERISH because he has given you eternal life. If he says we will never perish, how dare you say one can still perish? All what I've said are in the passage below as said by Jesus himself. John 10:27-28 KJV 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them ETERNAL LIFE; and they shall NEVER PERISH, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. Who do you believe? Adeboye that said you can perish or Jesus that said you can NEVER PERISH? nlfpmod Mynd44 Seun fergie03 |
jesusjnr2020:Once you are saved (born again), your spirit does No iniquity. It is your flesh that still sins. Your spirit cannot sin because it is has been born of God. 1 John 3:9 KJV Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God Born of God means born again as seen above. That spirit that has been born of God goes to heaven while the flesh becomes dust. If your spirit is NOT born of God (born again), it goes to hell fire when you die. Everyone on earth sins, including Christians. We are all sinners. 1 John 1:8 KJV If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. We are all sinners and we sin almost everyday. But the reason why we are Christians is because we are relying on Jesus Christ who died on the cross to pay for our sins. How dare you say Jesus never paid for our sins? How dare you belittle the redemptive blood of Jesus? How dare you call God a liar when he said he gave us everlasting life for believing in Jesus? Don't prevent this thread from getting to front page, otherwise it will amount to bias and an hindrance to the work of God. |
Kobojunkieee:I wonder why God never corrected Adeboye on his error about tithe and heaven on the day they "drank tea together". ![]() |
Clairvoyancy:There are certain mistakes you don't make as a Man of God. You don't tell people that they can be lost after the Ultimate Saviour has saved them. That's like equating the work of Jesus Christ to that of an earthly bank that can lose what was saved in it. Simply put, Adeboye has never believed that Jesus can save for all eternity. He doesn't even believe that Jesus saves. That's why he entreats his followers to try to save themselves, which is works based salvation. Such people will definitely end up in hell because they don't believe Jesus is sufficient for them. |
Kobojunkie:You shouldn't have cropped out the verses I quoted in my post. Go back and read them then explain if the titles given to Melchizedek are not the same titles of Jesus. If Jesus is Lord, shouldn't that tell you that he's the same Lord spoken of in the Old Testament? Don't expect any.ore response from me. |

PASTOR ADEBOYE NEEDS TO ALSO APOLOGIZE FOR CALLING GOD A LIAR This article will prove that Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) calls God a liar. A few days ago, Pastor Adeboye apologized to his congregation for saying that those who don't pay tithe won't make heaven. This was after years of preaching that non-tithers will go to hell fire. The reason why Adeboye held such believe for long is because he knows nothing about the Bible except how to twist it for his own gain and to send people to eternal damnation. This article will prove that. Before I go into the reason why I believe Adeboye calls God a liar, I'll first briefly address the 'tithe and heaven' claim he believed for so long. If one can miss heaven for not paying tithe, Adeboye should tell us when the thief on the cross paid tithe after Jesus promised him paradise. Can you now see that Adeboye knows nothing about the Bible other than twisting it for his own gain? Mind you, I strongly believe that every believer owes God the tithe. That's a topic for another day. Now, the reason why Adeboye calls God a liar is this - he continually preaches against the Once Saved Always Saved doctrine. Before I use the Bible to prove my point, I want you to read the below excerpt from an article authored by Pastor Adeboye which has a title attacking Once Saved Always Saved, calling it a lie. "Several believers have been made to accept a dangerous belief concerning their faith in Christ. Even some of the ‘big’ men of God preach that once a person is born again, even if he is still committing sin, he is still a born again Christian. This is a horrible lie from the pit of hell. To tell you the undiluted truth, if you become born again, and you go back to sin, if you don’t repent, you will end up in eternal damnation." Source: https://rccgcornerstoneparishmn.org/uncategorized/once-saved-forever-saved-a-lie-was-written-by-pastor-e-a-adeboye/ What Adeboye said in essence is that once you are born again (saved) and you commit sin after that, you will lose your salvation and end up in eternal damnation (hell fire). With that statement, Adeboye just called God a liar. Read the verse below before I explain how he did it. 1 John 5:10-11 KJV 10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. The above passage says if you don't believe that God has given us eternal life, then you are calling God a liar. Adeboye calls God a liar by saying the eternal life that God has given us is the type that can end when we sin. That is wrong and an attack on God and the promise he made to us. Eternal Life means a life that never ends and all those who have it can never perish regardless of sin. Yes, I said it. Sin can never put an end to that eternal life, because if sin could end it, then the life was never eternal. It means God lied when he said he gave us a never-ending life for believing in Jesus, knowing fully well that it could end. God is not a man like Adeboye that he should lie. Everlasting life cannot stop lasting. Once you have it, it lasts forever. You have it the moment you believe in Jesus Christ. John 3:16. Below is another sermon preached by Adeboye to his congregation in which he attacked eternal salvation. "There are many people all over the world now telling you that once you are saved, you are saved forever. Of course you can be saved forever, provided you take heed. That's what the Bible says. 1 Corinthians 10:12 says 'if you think you stand, take heed lest you fall.' The Almighty God who has kept me standing till now will keep you standing forever. "There are so many preachers all over the world now telling you that since you are saved by grace, which is true, that you can now do whatever you like, that you will still make it to heaven." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_n-mTMqMH8 The above shows Adeboye stating that you can lose your salvation or you can lose the eternal life God has given you. He quoted the below verse. 1 Corinthians 10:12 KJV 12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall Where in the above verse does it say that if you fail to take heed, you will fall from grace or salvation or lose eternal life? Adeboye just quoted the verse and inserted his own meaning into it. The chapter was not talking about salvation or eternal life. The passage was talking about early believers in the Old Testament who took things for granted and murmured against God and in turn God punished them by killing them. 1 Corinthians 10:8-10 KJV 8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. 9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. 10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. Now, where in the above does it say they lost their salvation and were thrown into hell fire? Look, if you sin after you are saved, God will punish you as a loving Father does to his son but he will never throw you into the lake of fire. Hebrews 12:6 KJV For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. Nowhere is it stated that God will throw his sons in hell fire for commiting a sin. Rather, he will chasten and scourge you for sinning and that's all. As a matter of fact, Jesus promised his believers that they will NEVER PERISH. Which means no sin can ever make them perish. They will only be chastened and not perish. John 10:27-28 KJV 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them ETERNAL LIFE; and they shall NEVER PERISH, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. Dif you see how Jesus used eternal Life and never perish in the same sentence? He also said nobody can pluck his believers out of his hand. Even his believers can never pluck themselves out of his hand. This means their sins can never get them plucked out of the saviour's hand. In another sermon, Adeboye tried to prove that one can lose his salvation by quoting the below verse about Paul and Demas. 2 Timothy 4:10 KJV 10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia. According to Adeboye, if Demas who walked with Paul could forsake Paul, then a Christian can lose his salvation. Firstly, Paul is not the author and finisher of our faith, Jesus is. Nowhere is it stated that Demas forsook Jesus Christ. So, we can't say he lost his salvation. Forsaking Paul meant Demas didn't want to walk with him anymore, which was why the verse said he departed to Thessalonica, just as Titus went to Dalmatia and Crescens went to Galatia. They all took different paths. The verse also said Demas departed from Paul because he still "loved this present world". Of course, I would do the same if I still want to see my family again, because walking with Paul was dangerous. Paul was constantly getting stoned, beaten, arrested, locked up and thrown out of cities before he was eventually killed. Before his death, he was warned by a disciple that he would get arrested and bound if he set foot in Jerusalem. Did Paul listen? No. He got up and headed for Jerusalem. Acts 21:12-13 KJV 12 And when we heard these things, both we, and they of that place, besought him not to go up to Jerusalem. 13 Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus. Paul was ready to die even as the enemies of the gospel were seeking his life. Is that the kind of man you would want to walk with if you have plans to see tomorrow? That was why Demas departed from him. The verse never said Demas departed from the gospel of Jesus Christ that Paul believed in. He only stopped walking with Paul. What Adeboye preaches is that you have to ensure that you are without a single sin at the moment of your death or else you will end up in hell fire. He's preaching work based salvation and all those who hold such believe will end up in hell fire because they don't believe that we have eternal life as given by God. We already have eternal life. It is not something that we have to wait till we die before we can find out. The Bible says we already have it. 1 John 5:13-15 KJV These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; THAT YE MAY KNOW THAT YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. People like Adeboye also love to quote the below verse. Philippians 2:12 KJV 12 ...work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. When his likes quote the verse, they make it seem as if the verse is saying that you should save yourself. The verse is only saying that you should show your salvation and not keep it hidden. Let me give you an illustration. When God created you, he gave you muscles. If you go to the gym to WORK OUT, the muscles become very obvious and can make you look good. The muscles could make your friends admire you and get inspired to want to go to the gym and WORK OUT their own muscles too. Same way if you do good, love your neighbors and practice the commandments of Jesus Christ, everyone around you will be motivated to do the same. So, when the Bible says "WORK OUT your salvation", it's simply saying let what God put inside of you be seen. That way it will be of benefit to others. Show the good work of God in you. Philippians 2:12 KJV 12 ... WORK OUT your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which WORKETH in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Does God want us to be holy? Yes of course. He said, "Be ye holy, as I am holy". However, even if we chose to live a wayward life after we are saved, we will still make heaven. Even if we do no work, we are still seen as righteous by God because we believe in Jesus. That is good news which the Bible preaches as seen below. Romans 4:5-8 KJV 5 But to him that WORKETH NOT, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for Righteousness. 6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without WORKS, 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. The last two verses says our sins and iniquities are forgiven and covered. The last verse said God will not impute sin unto us after we are saved. This means sin can never make us lose our salvation, it can never end our eternal life and can never make us miss heaven. That is why the Gospel is called Good News, because there is no good news in knowing that you can lose your salvation at any time. There is no good news in knowing that Jesus can reject you after he saved you. There is no good news in knowing that you can miss heaven for a sin you committed a few seconds before you died, despite living a holy life before that moment. The only good news is Once Saved Always Saved, which Jesus himself preached when he said he gave us eternal life and we shall never perish. 28 And I give unto them ETERNAL LIFE; and they shall NEVER PERISH, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. (John 10:28 KJV) The reason why we do our best to avoid sin is because we love God and so we keep his commandments. Also, we don't want him to chasten and scourge us. Hebrews 12:6 KJV For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If you patronize sex workers, you may contract HIV. If you engage in armed robbery, you may end up in jail. So, avoiding sin is all for your own good. But no sin is greater than the REDEMPTIVE BLOOD of our saviour Jesus Christ. No sin can prevent you from heaven. However, sin can make God punish you here on earth. Both Adeboye and the pastor he spoke of are very wrong to say Jesus didn't collect tithe. Jesus collected tithe as Melchizedek whom Abraham gave tithe to in the Old Testament. Hebrews 7 KJV 1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; 2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; 3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually The problem with people today is that they think Jesus is some character that only showed up in the New Testament. A true believer can see Jesus in almost every page of the Old Testament because Jesus is Lord and is the Lord spoken of severally in the Old Testament. Philippians 2:11 KJV 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Leviticus 20:30 KJV And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD'S: it is holy unto the LORD. |
