This is my present situation brother. It's been 7 months n counting...
We have 3 kids together.. I was working .. got her a car n opened a nice shop for her... along the line things took a down turn for me.. lost d job n feeding was on her.. daily humiliation etc.. she came in one day n demanded money for food rudely I responded in a like mannner that I don't have n all hell was let loose.. abusing me on top of her voice.. I quietly picked up my bag n leg home....

It's been seven months even since.. even though I occasionally send feeding money. Sometimes when I think abt my kids I nearly go mad...but I can't help it.. I'd rather stay away than be humiliated... if god decides to bless me later ama definitely build a new home without her.

You had no right to make such request of him. I take it that since this money was paid before your tenancy, you had zero contributions regarding that. A better approach would have been to approach him on the way forward and not ordering him around like your puppet.

Why would you say he had no right to demand such for a house he is paying rent??
Maybe the attitude n manner of approach might be off but he had every right to electricity.
Maybe what he shldve discussed with the landlord was a way forward rather than "demanding"
