Politics › Re: Believing And History In Abia By Ugochukwu Ezenwa. by Amaka33: 12:25pm On Aug 07, 2013
Governor T.A. Orji had ideas on how to improve Abia State, even before he assumed duty in 2007. But throughout his first term as governor, T.A Orji was incapacitated. Certain vested interests in the state would rather he used the resources for their upkeep. Knowing that would hinder his plans for development, Orji fought hard on the side of the people but got distracted all through four years. The good news is that he overcame, and was only able to settle down to serious business in his second term. However, the testimonies from his activities since then show that had he had a free hand from the beginning, the Ochendo, as he is fondly called by appreciative Abians, would have completely transformed the Gods Own State. His revolution, which sweeps through the length and breath of Abia, has become the household tale in the land. Aside from the roads, connecting different settlements and urban centers in the state, Orji's administration is assiduously working on water projects to ensure that people have access to potable water. That is in line with the policy of promoting good health in both the rural and the urban centers. He is not just working to prevent diseases, he is also building health institutions to bring home to people treatment at affordable cost.
Any visitor to the state would wonder how with the meagre resources at his disposal Governor Orji would complete the ambitious projects he has embarked upon. But the man who Abians regard as a godsend is determined not to leave any abandoned projects by the time he is handing over the baton of leadership come 2015.
Politics › Re: Onwumere And His Multiple Lies by Amaka33: 12:11pm On Aug 05, 2013
It is not difficult knowing the subject matter of Odimegwu Onwumere’s writings. His topics and subjects are easily known and therefore, very easily predictable. If you endure the grammatical and structural insults encountered going through his gibberish like I have done on many occasions, he is either, praising Orji Uzor kalu, extolling Njiko Ndi Igbo- Kalu’s pet project or heaping unwarranted insults and blackmail on Chief T.A. Orji. To some, it may be a wonder reading his numbskull in elitist newspapers like Thisday, The Guardian and Vanguard, but not to me and many discerning Abians. He badly needs credibility and so posits in credible newspapers. He is a hacker, intent on achieving maximum results with his uninspiring, jaundiced and pejorative articles. One thing is certain: The world knows Chief T.A. Orji. The world equally is aware of his efforts to rewrite the history of Abia from the negative and indolent to the present land of developmental changes.
Many notable Nigerians ranging from ministers, legislators to the presidency, have seen and testified that all claims of good governance and provision of monumental social indicators in Abia are evident, under-reported and are existent in the maps of Abia State, consequently one thousand Odimegwus cannot obliterate or obfuscate the quantum developmental strides of T.A. Orji. One thousand Odimegwus cannot make their lies stick against glaring facts. According to an African proverb, ‘no matter how long a tree trunk remains in the River, it does not make it a fish.’

Odimegwu Onwumere who claims to be a poet has been nabbed in Porthacourt Rivers state over extortion. Onwumere who was used by the ex gov of abia state to launder Abia money, was nabbed when he went to collect unspecified amount in UBA from a top politician of Bayelsa origin, after blackmailing the amiable politician who once directed affairs of NDDC. Onwumere who is a drop out and specializes in the art of blackmail in the internet has been threatening the politician that he will post a story on him on the net, if he does not settle him with huge amount.

The politician who is aware of Onwumere’s style played along , and paid money into a UBA account sent to him by this ex convict. Luck ran out of Onwumere when he went to cash the money, as he was promptly arrested. Onwumere it was learnt is an informant to kidnappers who are terrorizing people in Porthacourt. He is begging Kalu to help him. Stupid onwumere.. he is not ashamed of himself!!!
