DebbyD1: For those applying for family reunion and your spouse has the statutory health insurance in Germany, you can already ask him/her to add you [and your child(ren)] as "non-contributory dependant(s)" on his/her insurance at no extra cost. With this, when the embassy requests for your passport(s) and travel insurance(s), you do not need to spend any money getting travel insurance(s) from maybe AXA Mansard. All that is needed is to ask your spouse to call the insurance provider to issue a certificate/letter that you are insured. This should then be submitted alongside your passport(s).
Though the travel insurance in Nigeria might not cost much but I just thought I should share. It's not bad saving that money and adding it to your plane ticket money Hi ma, Just like I said earlier, I will need your help on the steps to be taken in applying for job in Germany. I want to ask if I can private chat you |
