Politics / Re: Dasukigate: 6 Reasons Why Jonathan Must Be Made To Break His Silence by amaramoka: 7:33pm On Jan 12, 2016
B[quote author=Everfrank post=41903926]A lot of revelations have come to light on how the $2.1 billion meant for arms purchase was allegedly diverted into the presidential campaign of former president and the candidate of the party in the 2015 general elections, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan. Former Minister of State for Finance, Bashir Yuguda, Col. Mohammed Sambo Dasuki (retd), a former National Security Adviser (NSA); Shuaibu Salisu, a former Director of Finance and Administration NSA’s office, Attahiru Dalhatu Bafawara, a former governor of Sokoto State; Sagir Attahiru, his son and Dalhatu Investment Limited are a few men in the Jonathan administration that are currently being tried for the offence. Months into the commencement of the investigation, the man who was at the helms while the looting was taking place, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan has refused to say a word. In light of this, INFORMATION NIGERIA has gathered up the reasons why Jonathan must speak up now…

– The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under which Jonathan emerged as president has become an object of public ridicule and harsh criticisms and everyone in the party, whether innocent or guilty are being tagged as corrupt. In light of this shame, Jonathan must speak up to redeem his party, whose goodwill he enjoyed for years.

– If the PDP organised a dinner where billions of naira was raised money for Jonathan’s campaign, what then is the explanation for the armsgate? Jontahan must say.

– Jonathan can not act aloof in all these as these alleged crimes were perpetuated under his watch. He should clarify whether he instructed his former NSA to divert the money meant to fight Boko Haram into his campaign.

– Jonathan in the last administration held the highest authority, therefore must answer questions on what he knows or doesn’t know about the chilling revelations being made on the $2.1 billion arms deal.

– Jonathan had said that his government never awarded any contract in the range of US$2bn, so where did this money come from? Jonathan must tell Nigerians.

– It is disturbing to start to think it possible that one man (Dasuki), all by himself could have disbursed such mind-boggling amount without the approval of the President and Commander in Chief. If he (Dasuki) actually did it all on his own, then Jonathan must tell us where he traveled to or if Dasuki was the President in his stead.

Jonathan can no longer keep mum on this issue, it will do neither Jonathan nor Nigeria any good. We all want to get to the root of this matter, therefore let our former President speak up now or what do you think

Since dasuki has been naming yam eaters what stops him from naming Dr Goodluck Jonathan?

Good point but do you have intelligent leadership who are able to articulate a life without oil?

Your type is actually why we have problems in this country, instead of figuring out practical ways / contributions, u sit and ask questions to people's suggestions, (no insult intended )
If u ask me I would say let us all go back to the farm, and YES Nigeria and other African countries can actually feed the world via agriculture, it's time we embrace our rich soil so that in the near future we can exchange food for technology.

Hmmmm that interesting, wailers do you want him to kill himself because he lost election?

This is not about wailers, in my opinion he(sylva) should be tried for murder. How can a person not have dignity for human life?

sosanova:
Restoration Campaign Organisation, a Peoples Democratic Party group has claimed that the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Timipre Sylva, did not feel bad after losing at the polls because he went clubbing and drinking.

In a statement issued by the Director of Publicity of the PDP campaign organisation, Jonathan Obuebite, he said in spite of what APC supporters may say, the APC candidate did not “seemingly feel really bad” about the outcome of the election, claiming that Sylva went clubbing after the results were declared.

This, he said, did not suggest he was “terribly affected”, adding that, his action suggested instead that he was not expecting to win, after all.

“Sylva after losing the election went clubbing and drinking Hennessy with friends in all the three clubs he attended yesterday (Sunday). How can a man who just lost election attend a club if he was expecting to win?

“He was buying drinks for everybody. So many Bayelsans found his behaviour strange, particularly after participating in an election in which no less than fourteen deaths were recorded and several others nursing various life threatening injuries”, Obuebite stated.

Sylva has always been an(sic) irresponsible fellow, wonder how he got to govern BAYELSA state in the first instance.

Ahead of the Biafra election scheduled to begin on February 22, the new Biafra Independent Movement (BIM), led by Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, will, tomorrow, hold an inter-denominational prayer at the Ojukwu Memorial Library in Owerri, Imo State.

Bunch of red capped jokers crying as if only igbos own shops in oshodi. How much is the so called wares of their brothers self? Is it those fake pirated Cd's from Alaba or those second hand okrika clothes they are fond of selling?? With the way they are wailing, one would think the igbos lost more money than Yoruba traders who mostly lost millions but remained quiet and obedient. Igbos are fond of playing the victim card in every situation. They better respect their host or expect more harsh treatments undecided sipping my sperm juice cool

Sometimes it's not about who is right or wrong, but about conscience and humanity, at least Lagos State govt. Should have waited till February to take action, and considering that there are petty traders who were affected too.
