*Again, Earth Tremor Hits Abuja’s Maitama District*

The Nigerian Geological Survey Agency (NGSA) has reported yet another incident of earth tremor in Maitama District of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.

The Agency Stated this in a statement yesterday said “Our preliminary findings indicated that the tremor occurred around 12.26pm around the vicinity of Panama Street in Maitama District. After field evaluations, the NGSA determined that the intensity was about 3.0 on the Mercalli Intensity Scale, which means it was felt indoors and lasted less than one minute.”

The statement said there was no structural damage because of the shake, adding that the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was adequately briefed about the latest development............

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, a national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress has said he and other party chieftains are not moved by the decision of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, to hold strategic meetings in Dubai ahead of the 2019 elections.
The former Lagos state governor made the assertion in Abuja after meeting behind a closed door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa.

A lady identified as Queen is on the run by the Nigerian Police for allegedly running away with the property of her employee. In a report by PUNCH, Queen carted away with property worth N500, 000 (Five hundred thousand) belonging to her boos, Mrs. Omowunmi Odejide. Her boss noticed the sad development when she returned from a birthday party around 8 pm the day her maid executed the act to see her two kids roaming about in the compound.

The Nigerian Amy says it has discovered the location where a missing Major General, Muhammed Alkali, was alleged to be buried after he was killed. The Nigerian Army still stood on its ground that the missing general was reburied by the community to avoid being tracked down when it launched a search mission on the general. However, some arrest where made by the army and the arrested suspects said the body was exhumed and reburied somewhere else by his killers. According to the army, location where he was buried was confirmed by four reliable sources in the host community and again sniffer dogs led the army to the said destination with one kilometer distance between a main road in the community.

The Nigerian Army said it has discovered a shallow grave where a missing major general, Muhammed Alkali, was reportedly buried after he was killed. Premium Times reports that the army said the body was later exhumed and reburied somewhere else by the killers, according to the information provided to it by some of the arrested suspects. According to the army, the shallow grave was confirmed by four independent sources in the community and also by sniffer dogs. The newspaper reports that there is a distance of one kilometer between the main road and the location of the grave.

Maryam Sanda, who was charged with the murder of her husband in Abuja last November, has given birth to a baby boy.

The Abuja-based woman allegedly stabbed her husband, Bilyamin Bello, in the chest, neck and genital area, over alleged infidelity who later died from his injuries.

Maryam, who was nursing a daughter she had with Bilyamin at the time, was also pregnant with a son.
She was taken into custody after the death of Bilyamin but was granted bail in March 2018 after the court received medical reports confirming her pregnancy and illness.

The Rivers state government announces the passing away of the State attorney general and commissioner for Justice, Hon Emmanuel Chinwenwo Aguma.

This was contained in a statement by the state commissioner for information and communications, Emma Okah, who made the announcement on Friday night, August 10.

Okah said the senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN) passed on while receiving treatment in a London hospital.
He described the death as a “monumental” loss to both the state and the family.

In reaction to the sudden demise of Aguma, the state government said it will pay respect to honor him by flags fly at half-mast for two days.
