Heartiest Congradulations to you damkollins. You deserved it man!

damkollins:
Dear All....with humility and thankful heart,I notify my fellow colleagues in the house that I just receive my medical request from Accra Visa office.
Not to worry,I'm FSw2013/2014 ...not the current stream so don't panic.
I use mine as a point of contact to all intending and awaiting applicants for positive response regarding your application.
For those of us just starting now, please persist and forge ahead...the journey of a thousand years starts with just a step.
By this time of last year,I was in similar stages like most of you.
I wish you all the very best in all endeavors.
Cheers.

I am very anxious about the timeline of FSWP. I have submitted my application for credential assessment to CES which is taking hell of a time processing it. They have told me it would take 15 weeks which means I would not be able to submit my application before Jan. Would the program continue even after express entry starts? I know there is no change on page 986 of the Gazette. However, Express Entry will start in Jan. Please help.
Damkollins/Solomonize anyone

For how long should the funds remain in the bank account. Can I put them to use once the statement has been submitted? Damkollins/Solomon anyone?

Thanks to both of you (Damkollins and Solomonwis)

damkollins: I believe solomonwis already answered up now.
If you present experience letters for just 6 years out of 10 years, you will get your full points and will not be punished for not having experience letters for the 4 years remaining.
Cheers.

My question was previously answered by damkolins in a post on page 105. However, I am still a bit unclear. Will I need experience certificates from all employers during the last 10 years for which I am not claiming points? I get full points under the current occupation and have a detailed experience certificate. Please suggest if I would still be needing experience certificates from previous employers in the last 10 years?

solomonwis: Let us be objective and realistic like the guys in CIC.....

For some reasons (one of which was stated above),there might be circumstances where an applicant is not able to secure a work reference...The reasons are so numerous and genuine that any sane mind will understand with a letter stating the reason(s).

Having said the above,it was stated on the checklist that should situation arise where any document is not available a letter should be included to explain the reason(s). To give this "letter" a little legal backing,it is always better to state the reason under oath (affidavit) and produce as much information as available that will cover for the work reference...such as the employment letter, confirmation of appointment letter, promotion letter, annual leave letter,payslip/pay stub and any correspondence affirming your work experience at the time...sometimes,it is better to approach an ex-colleague (a senior colleague at the time) to include his contact details and confirming that he/she was your line head or supervisor and you carried out the main duties as stated at the time.... The onus is on the applicant to prove beyond doubt that indeed he/she worked in a company....

Again, all of your employers (if you worked in different places) are not expected to be reluctant in issuing you work reference else you will succeed in raising suspicion which will cast aspersion on your application and it might be rejected if care if not taken.

Some of the employers might have a policy of issuing a work reference letter in the company's standard format which may not include all the details as expected by CIC. In this case, include all of the aforementioned documents with particular attention to the document that show the details of your main duties..

Even with people who provided work reference from their employers, some of them had their applications returned because it did not include the main duties that align with their eligible occupation...

There is no cause for alarm if all I's are dotted and all T's crossed with self attested work reference....Bottom line is,include all the information that is expected in the work reference and confirming that you indeed worked with an employer....

ut using the following as POF:

1. provident fund and
2. Gratuity
3. Car
4. Real Estate

If car can be used, who will value it?

Also let me know for how long are the balances required to remain in the personal account.

What if express entry starts in January 2015. Would the current system run in parellel with the Express Entry system until April 2015?

Thanks a lot again. You have been very helpful. Stay blessed!
TravelRe: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by amazingfortune: 6:50pm On Sep 16, 2014
and yes, the CIC website says"

As of May 1, 2014, there is an overall cap of 25,500 for new federal skilled worker applications. This includes a cap of 500 applications from PhD students. There are also sub-caps of 1,000 for each of the 50 eligible occupations. The caps do not affect people with a valid job offer. These are the last applications we will accept under the current system before Express Entry launches in January 2015.

whats your sau on that?

damkollins: Only an original copy of ECA will be processed by CIC .....anything other than the original copy will make your application package to be returned back to you unprocessedaand untouched .
Even if you get your ECA after 31st December and your NOC is still empty, you can still submit...you have time till April 30th,2015.
Regarding your experience letter for a job duty you are not claiming points from,it's absolutely needless and a waste of your time and resources to be looking for experience letter for it.It will not have any positive influence on your application package.
Leave it out......but fill the details of the job in your personal information on your background information form.
Adding a dependant is relative ....new born baby yes.......newly married spouse yes.......adopted baby...yes.
Cheers.
Your reply has been so comprehensive. Thank you very much. I still have a question. I was told that work experiences are required for all jobs in the last 10 years. That confused me a little. Secondly, express entry is being introduced in January 2015. Can I still apply till 2015 April under the current system as you said. Can you please copy the link where you got this information from. And thanks again for being so helpful

TravelRe: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by amazingfortune: 5:34pm On Sep 16, 2014
I have a few questions. Pls. let me know if I can submit an unofficial copy (received electronically) to CIC and send them an orginal copy later when I receive it? I applied for ECA today but am not sure to get it before 31st December. Secondly. I am finding it difficult to get a experience certificate from my previous employer. I am not claiming any points from this occupation as full points have been gained under my current employment of 7 years. Do I still need to submit experience certificate from previous employer. Will be grateful for your help.
