The truth is that his model was unsustainable, dem no dey do car business by hype.

He still makes deals, but those kinds of offers he made when he first started largely don't exist anymore, COVID and exchange rate issues have erased the comparative advantage he had back then.

Plus his abysmal customer service.

Almost 2 years of consistency and over 150 cars delivered cannot be just hype Sir.

In my own case, I have even made part-payment and according to him, the car has been shipped. It is just to send me tracking details and he is doing me “come today, come tomorrow”.

As at January 15, he told me he’d send the tracking details when the car is shipped the next week.

January 21, he said he has dropped off the car at the shipper’s and would send the tracking once he receives it.

January 28, he said the car has shipped and he’d send me the tracking the next week (at this point I assumed he has gotten the tracking details since he didn’t say otherwise).

Fast forward to February 2. He said, and I quote, “Will send it to you tonight”. Since that February 2, he has stopped replying my messages. And I am sure he reads them. I see his Whatsapp status as “online”, I send a message, he ignores.

It’s truly frustrating. Usually, I am not the type to complain especially on social media but this is not only unprofessional but very absurd.

We are very sorry Sir.

We are moving into an office space here in Canada and the process is more tasking than we envisaged. You will get your tracking details within the next 24hrs.

It's quite a frustrating experience. Even when he chooses to reply, he does so skipping some requests. It's about a month now I made requests both here on nairaland and whatsapp, but no reply. The moment I get a reliable alternative, he loses a potential customer.
