Brown rice in the list of ingredients, in your dog food is essential, as brown rice offers important nutrients for your dog's overall health.
Brown rice is full of natural fiber, which helps a dog's digestion. It is also an excellent source of carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. Specifically, vitamins D and B [essential to heart health ] and it’s also includes vita minerals like iron, calcium and riboflavin.

I visited the Abattoir @Agege the other day, and out of curiosity I was observing the sales boy, who mixing what was supposedly a formula for a client. I asked the lady is this for your chickens? She said No, she has Boerboel puppies and the feed was actually for her dogs, I asked what else do you add to this formula eg can food, minced meat or chicken, eggs? She said nothing, she just cook and allow to cool off, then serve.
Her formula was as follows:
30kg of noodles
2kg of full fat soy
1kg of imported fish meal...
Some might ask what is wrong with this formula.

Firstly the formula isn't a balanced diet, Dogs need carbohydrate, protein, fats and oil, calcium, vitamins & minerals, and clean water daily.
Secondly the crude protein of the formula is nowhere close to the nutritional requirement of an adult dog, how much more that of a puppy.
Let's calculate the CP of the woman's formula, having in mind Adult kibble should be about 26-28% CP and puppy should be 30-32% CP. (Noodles 11% CP, Full Fat Soy is 44% CP, imported fish meal is 72% CP).
30kg/33kg x 11 = 10.0
2kg/33kg x 44 = 2.6
1kg/33kg x 72 = 2.18
Total CP= 14.78 .This is a very poor formula which wouldn't give great result, this is a general problem amongst dog owners, finding the right balanced formula for our lovely canine friends. Worry not for the solution is here...

(2.) Can it be fed to puppies? YES, it's puppy kibble, very high in protein, fats, multivitamins and nutrients. It can be fed to younger puppies (3-6 weeks) of age, but soak in warm water and serve.

(3.) Can it be fed to adult dogs? Yes, highly recommended for pregnant and nursing bitches, also suitable for working dogs because it's high in protein, fats and energy,

(5.) How soon do we see results from using the feed? Almost immediately, within two to three days you should start noticing impressive changes, weight gain and shinny coats etc.
