First goal his sublime dribble and diagonal pass to Alba created the first goal, his run from midfield and shot created the 2nd goal and his pass on the counterattack created the 3rd. Messi was head and shoulders above iniesta who got a lucky assist. 10/15 dribbles completed as well despite being double marked all game. Pure robbery to give iniesta motm.

Ok you might not agree outright but you cannot disagree that Salah is not top 3 of the greatest player in Epl history. That's the kind of player that's getting compared to Neymar that most of his goals came in the Brazilian and Ligue 1. The gap between Salah and Neymar in terms of achievement and performance in Europe is massive.

We are talking about their performances in top leagues not total career goals and assists that includes Neymar goals in Brazil for Santos or the numerous friendly goals for Brazil. Lukaku has more total career goals than Henry, Van nisterooy and Drogba but no one will claim lukaku was the better goalscorer. What both did in Europe and champions league is the barometer and Salah floors Neymar hands down. Golden boots, Goals per season, records broken, assist per season, player of the year award, playmaker awards, champions league goals, champions league final performance etc. Neymar does not even touch Salah when it comes to club performances and individual awards. The gap is like Liverpool and Chelsea.

He doesn’t have any of those over Salah.
Salah has scored 20+ league goals in Europe five times, while Neymar has only done it twice. Salah even hit 32 league goals in a season, breaking the EPL record so when it comes to goalscoring, it’s not even close.

Salah has also recorded 10+ league assists in a season five times, compared to Neymars three.

In terms of individual awards, Salah leads comfortably, three Player of the Season awards to Neymar one, three Golden Boots to Neymar none, and two Playmaker awards to Neymar one. That’s before even considering the leagues and teams they played for.

Apart from dribbling, Salah is head and shoulders above Neymar in terms of club performance. It's not even worthy of a debate

CAF cannot come back to overrule the decisions of the referee that saw the match to a conclusive end.

If the Senegalese had refused to continue and the match ended at stalemate with the ref having to judge the match as inconclusive, CAF's invoking of their yeye article would've been reasonably justified and nobody will contest it.

The crux of the matter is: only a ref can decide the outcome of a match that is played to full time. A football governing body cannot overrule the outcome of a match that the ref already decided with his whistle. There's a reason PMGOL will conceded a ref's mess up in officiating but would not overrule the decision of that ref after the match.

POGMOL doesn't have that authority, it's the independent FA regulatory body that has that power and they do overturn red cards given during games and even ban players for offenses the ref missed or didn't give.

Senegal has no case. They broke the rules and now they are facing the consequences whether it's harsh or not. If anything this sends a clear message: no team can just walk off the pitch because a decision doesn’t go their way and It sets a precedent.

The decision was right, just too late. It should have been made as soon as the Senegal players walked off. Since it wasn’t, making it now just causes confusion. At this point they should have just left it as it was.
