This country is finished. Bandits were doing giveaways on TikTok and thousands of people were dropping their account numbers. In total close to 40million was shared out. No sense of shame whatsoever. These are the same people that will easily sell their vote for a bottle of coke and 2k. |

BlueRayDick: The bold is not true!
If you say Muslims are a majority in Ilorin, one can agree with you. Muslims are not majority in Osun and Oyo. There are Chirstians, Muslims and Traditional Worshippers in the Southwest. There is no state Muslims can claim to be Majority when there are adherents of the other two religions who are more than Muslims . Are you sure? Because the statistics I came across online including a Nairaland thread were quite damning. I was seeing figures of around 60 to 65% Muslim in Oyo and 50 to 55% in Osun. |

raumdeuter: My major point instead of beating them to change their ways in their land is for others too to change their laws to make it intolerant to them also
No amount of preaching will change their mind, when it comes to security we say just like guns are legal for you it is for us too
In the South, you must also sell pork everywhere including Sabos. Just like you must wear covering in the North, You must NOT wear head covering in Akwa Ibom too ... Exactly but the issue is the only region that can match their energy is Niger Delta as the dominant religion is Christianity so everyone would be on board. South West especially Oyo and Osun cannot do that that because Muslims are a majority in those parts so they will be kick backs. The question is how does South West resist full blown Islamization of that region because it's already happening. |

I feel monerozi point is quite straightforward and you all are just intentionally misunderstanding him. We know those people are intolerant and will do whatever when it comes to their religion. it is simply wise to respect local norms and regulations when you are in their midst. Most of you shouting secular nation in respect to the North are just making me laugh. Don't carry that mindset to the North if you value your life and wellbeing. As long as they are majority in that region nothing is going to change in that aspect. |

The last one I saw was a bus carrying passengers, and they stopped them, and held them against their will, saying they were "Fulanis"
One woman was even screaming that "They are from Yobe". Does she think the world starts and end from Lagos to Ogun?
I think people need to be careful with the harassment. Can you really blame them? The situation has gotten out of hands. |

BlueRayDick: This your explanation is even worse than the initial statement. Government sponsoring pilgrimage whether to Jerusalem, a Buddha temple or to Hajj is complete waste of scarce resources.
For a country that is living on loans from different international financial organizations and superpowers, sponsoring pilgrimage should never be part of government expenses either at the state or federal level.
Politicians embezzling money through white elephant project is corruption which no sane person should support, but sponsoring pilgrimage is also waste of the remaining scarce resources that was not embezzled. The country will suffer for both, there's no inherent benefit in both activities. I actually agree with you and A40 that in a functioning country the government shouldn’t be sponsoring religious programs. This is not me defending the Katsina government in any way. I am simply looking at it from the perspective of over 3500 Katsina Muslims being helped by their government to fulfill a major aspect of their religion. That is why I said I can’t begrudge a program helping thousands of citizens when we have seen public funds wasted on things that benefited absolutely nobody. To me it’s similar to the government distributing sewing machines to over 1,000 youths. You can debate priorities but it’s still a program directly benefiting actual people. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Amigoos1: 6:24am On May 13 |
A40: Taking loans to pay for religious pilgrimage makes sense to you and is beneficial to citizens??
I now understand why the Chinese abolish religion altogether at least in their schools. Cos why would you even defend this nonsense
We are not talking of building health centers, schools and programs that address their atrocious HDI rates you're talking about pilgrimage? Smh. We are arguing two different things. It may not be the biggest priority, but it still directly benefits over 3,900 people in Katsina, so I can’t begrudge that kind of welfare when we have seen politicians loot far more or when the governor of Katsina spent over 500 million on one car. You also keep acting like supporting pilgrims automatically means schools, hospitals and security projects cannot be funded at the same time. The real question is whether the state is also investing properly in healthcare, education and security alongside it. |

A40: How the fuq does Hajj trip help members of a state being ravaged by insecurity and multi generational poverty?
Who do black man this thing?? Nobody said Hajj trips will solve insecurity or poverty. The point is that it’s still a direct program benefiting actual citizens instead of politicians announcing projects that never leave paper and pocketing the funds plus funding a welfare program for pilgrims doesn’t stop the Katsina government from also tackling insecurity. |

A40: Poverty state like Katsina taking 4bn Naira loan to pay for Hajj trip. Saudi people go just dey laugh us everyday I get what you are saying but I can never be against any program that directly impacts and helps the members of any state. It's better than announcing audio projects that never gets done. |

You are free to drag him but the basis of the dragging is what I am wondering about?
Cos there is really nothing controversial in what he said. Whether with the woman cooking or the God already knows the winner of the election
Dont marry a woman who cant cook = Dont marry a man who cant and wont work The only exception is if she can outscores it herself. Apart from that there's nothing worst that marrying a woman that can't cook. I have dated a girl like this and kudos to her she genuinely tried to learn but na rubbish she dey cook. |

Even me, it took quarrels and arguements for me to adapt and start doing these chores. Women of nowadays are just more lazy compared to women of the past.
