So this matter is still lingering on despite all the physio. Physio is useful in cases where we are to avoid athrophy. In this particular case it has been counter productive therefore it is good for people to shut up when they don't have useful idea of a problem. In a nerve damage physio can increase cause separation of nerve especially when it is bruised So not every damage must go to physio.
There is evidence that a separated nerve can link up when separation is a few mm apart if they undergo hyperbaric oxygen therapy (hbot). At the time of damage a nerve and surrounding tissues may become inflamed and swell and be painful. After inflammation comes a scar and more damage.HBOT can stop this pathological process with early intervention.
For this patient a few questions need to be answered: Is there any scan to rule out fracture or dislocation?
Can the baby grip your finger? Please grade the difference in strenght between both hands: eg 100%/10%. Is there pain on touch or movement?
While you search for foreign help also ask for hbot after the surgery. It will enhance healing and improve condition.

Yes there was a Scan No dislocation,No grip at all,No feeling at lower hand yet but there is tiny finger movement, No wrist movement. Thanks

I feel your pain! I've read comments here. My child weighed 4.9kg, He had his right hand nerves torned and left hand broken.

I went to court got an affidavit, wanted to write to the medical body but issue was ironed out with the hospital.

My boy was taken to national hospital 3x per week and I also engaged a physiotherapists at home.

The truth is the severity of the injury will determine how early the hand will heal.

My advice: physiotherapy only helps keep the muscle busy and strong while the nerves regenerates.

Dr Kozin asked I make a video of my child and upload, he assessed and told me my child needed an emergency surgery and told me my child had brain injury also. ( it was a terrible experience, basically there was nothing any doctor could do about the brain injury, while there were helping to make arrangements for a free flight to US, my child gave up the ghost after 6 months, he could barely move.) sis has the same experience with her second child. Maybe i could ask her to help me with the number of the physiotherapist her husband brought that helped the baby greatly. Now the arm that seem dead before nw has some movement and he is using his fingers nw.tho stil work in progress but so far so good. Wish u luck madam. I had that experience before,my baby weighed 5 kg at birth and as a result of that his left hand dislocated i noticed it the second day after birth even the doctors were surprised that i detected on time,he was refered to lassuth Ikeja, but that couldn't corrected it was God and local orthopaedic that helped with regular massage with shearbutter and bandage every three days,before he was two months old it became normal as if nothing went wrong.

Proper assessment needed to be considered.

History you gave is not enough. Is the baby able to lift the hand unaided? Any pain ? Swelling? Atrophy ? any history of birth via breech or CS or forceful impacts while carrying the baby ?

However, A paedetrician will guide and help you but most importantly, A PHYSIOTHERAPIST will help the baby most than any health professionals.

Thanks for your contribution. The baby can't lift the hand,No swelling,slight pain at the shoulder. Birth was normal head down but baby was big and head got stock at virginal.I ve started seeing a physiotherapist immediately I gave birth. Just want to be sure am doing the right thing.

I just put to birth and it was a difficult delivery becos my baby was too big ,during delivery the upper limp of my baby was stretched that he could not move one his hands, or feel it.Pls I want to know if any mother has experience this and how were they able help heal or use the hand.thanks

U shld pray the new pregnant girl (turning wife)does not turn you against ur wife and children abroad that u will forget their up keep and visits. becos this woman was fully aware that u ve family but still continued till she is now pregnant.
I will advice u don't marry her just make sure she is well taken care of and tell ur wife about this mess.
