how long have you known this lady, and has she offered to help pay for the ticket? I am skeptical because she is in the US and she expects you to pay for the whole flight and have money for her when she comes down? does not sound like someone who loves u too much, because they would have offered to help with something, but it's your life and money.

Anytime I go out i make sure I have my own money, you never know what can happen, however NO i would not pay on the first date. I cannot respect a man who can't even do that the first time.
