I want to apply to a masters program at the University of Melbourne for a mature aged student (50-55). While, I can do this myself, I don't want to mess it up. I tried getting in contact with the school's approved education agents in Nigeria with no success, with the exception of one who told me there is now an age restriction for the master's program - 35. It is a bit weird considering I haven't heard about such news anywehere. My questions are:
1. Is there an age restriction for the program (maybe I have been living under a rock all these while)
2. Would it be wise to submit the application myself (if I don't have any success with the Nigerian education agents).
You necessarily do not need an agent for the University of Melbourne application. I applied myself and got admitted. Good news is they don't ask for proof of funds, only English proficiency and your passport data page is required for GTE..make sure you submit all necessary documents during your application. Then pay 100 for the application fee.
Concerning your age, I don't know much about 50-55 old.. But my friend got his Masters visa at 41 yrs..
