Last season was better mahn! Forget about that bandwagon bullcrap, Last season was interesting overall. And I was a Maria Stan btw.

To you it might be interesting, to me it wasn't. The wild card shenanigans brought some spice to the show but that ended In week 2. Maria got booted on in week 5. I can't even remember half of last year's cast. That's how bad it is.

The comments during lockdown did not suggest it was meh at all. Maybe Erica's fans after her disqualification started selling that narrative to lessen the pain. Yes a lot of people started watching lockdown due to being at home but the performance of the season itself sustained such interest.

If you watch the trend, the engagement level increased from See gobe to lockdown as each successive season outdid the previous. It was the deadness of SYE season that broke the trend and the comments during the season itself reflected that it was massive letdown and the general interest just plummeted.

Level up is bearing the brunt for the deadness of SYE season. If it came up immediately after lockdown, its engagement level will be way higher than SYE's.

To me, the only season Lockdown is better than is SYE. Laycon and his unrequited love for Erica....Ozo's simping...Kiddwaya and Erica's madness.... These were the highlights worth noting on lockdown. Yeah...so...meh....

Dont underestimate lockdown season. It has the highest engagement ever on BBN Nairaland with 11thousand pages. Pepperdem engagement for all it's interesting tag was far behind at 8 thousand pages.

Lockdown took the national interest in BBN to an all time high and the most remarkable thing was that the interest level did not wane even into the final weeks. During lockdown, you leave this thread for 3 hours and when you come back there are already a hundred pages for you catch up.

Lockdown had strong smart confident personalities that sustained its interest. Laycon, Kidd, Ozo, Erica, Prince, Nengi, Neo, Dora, Trickytee. The competitiveness was outstanding. I'd say the lockdown set were the best in terms of quality of task performance. I remember Neo's flawless rendition of of the Suits series or Kidd's impressive acting of Power series, or Vee's hosting presentation or Ozo's sports broadcasting. Today, these guys are still shining based on thei talent

The world was on a literal lock down. What were people to do except watch TV? The engagement and national interest was simply because people didn't have much to do. The show itself was just meh. After the high of Pepperdem, lockdown was a let down. If lockdown was this year, the thread page count might even be less than 1000.

Engagement doesn't always equate interesting. Shine ya eye had more engagement than level up, but level up is way more interesting. capisce?
