You didn't scam him, but you thought you could punish him by holding on to his money for as long as possible. My advice is this: in business you win some and you lose some. Next time don't let it degenerate to this extent before settling your customer because a good name is worth more than silver or gold. Your name has been dragged in the mud because of chicken change 40k.

You should have refunded the money on time and now you have paid the price for trying to play smart.

But Anchor84, to me, you were not scammed. He maintained communication and never denied being indebted. Aldoe he took him long to pay back but he kept you informed. Bobby on the other hand posts aggressive ads which has earned him lots of enemies. I belive that is why no one carefully studied the situation from both sides.
And from what i saw in the chats screenshots, anchor and bobby's relationship is actually friendly. Bobby was much more softer than when he is here on nairaland.

A scammer will never stay in touch with you.
I bliv errone will learn from this incident

Anchor to be sincere with you, i'd like you to return the extra 10k... your money is 40k just take the 40k and leave the 10k considering the fact that bobbysaxy fed the dog which you didn't take.. the 10k is like a shortage on his part even if he won't let it out from his own mouth but business oriented people would understand this I've just said better... thanks and enjoy your money
