Siena: Elektra, please... Let it go. It's not fair on other forumites, if you decide to trash threads, just because you've had issues with Ikenna.

We've all had bans at some time or the other, but we don't all resort to verbally abusing the Moderator. Yes, Ikenna has his faults, (don't we all?) but I will say he's more tolerant than some of the Moderators in other sections.

Just take it easy, wait out your ban, and simply come back as yourself. Life's way too short.

Its been said that the AC in big daddy versions of toyota camry(s) is much more chilly than the models b4 it, i.e the pencil lights versions. In that vein, i want 2know if its possible 2swap the entire AC unit of the pencil light model with the big daddy model. Pls, car enthusiasts, 'm awaiting ur opinion and expert comments. Thanks

@ ka24dett, i believe that if you want 2argue, you'll correct the basis of argument or contention, which is timing belt/chain but you didn't, you just ranted about being in the business of cars and jumped onto honda's transmission problems. You sha want 2make urself heard by all means and thereby missing the point. This forum isn't for kids, but for adults. I have a friend with a 1999 camry (pencil light) with a mileage of 251011. When he drives without the ac the car moves superbly but as soon as the ac is on, the car drags and seems 2be on a heavy load. Most especially wen climbing a hilly road stretch, we noticed that if we switch off the ac compressor, the car climb faster than when it is on. When the car stops but still in Drive (with ac), the rpm drops to 500 and car vibrates a little and requires more power to take off again. The engine still steams in the morning and regular oil change is done. We noticed it consumes a bit more fuel than necessary. Pls, auto gurus, what do you advise cos my friend is thinking of disposing the car. Thank you.

@ JUO, i've seen ur earlier posts of criticisms (which is 2me not constructive and civilised enof) so i'll rather not join issues with you. Last week wednesday(21st aug); toyota corolla 2011 model 1.6l engine, manual, 200kmh, lagos 2ibadan expressway. Was travelling from lagos to abk (return journey) had earlier that day done 180 from abk to lagos.

Had cause 2go to Lagos from Abk last week wednesday through Lagos Ibadan Express Way. Road was way free. Did 140 to 160kmh to Lagos but on my return, did avg 180 to 200kmh. Car was Toyota COrrola 2011 1.6l manual; tight AC and gbedu blasting. Car was as light as paper. Have also done 130kmh on a golf GTI manual (abk to ibadan). Done 140kmh to 160kmh in my grand cherokee 5.9l V8 from abk to ibadan car is a monster. @ the touch of the gas pedal, it jumps and the engine roars. Infact the sound @ the exhaust is what inspires my driving it regardless of the fuel consumption. When travelling with this car, what i loose slowing down @ bends and portions of bad roads, i gain it back on the stretches of good roads...

My Camry pencil light's ac compressor was diagnosed 2have low pump. The AC technician says since the compressor has never been worked on, he can repair it and it will be back 2standard but if it had been worked on b4, he'll advise replacement. Pls, auto gurus in the house, what do you recommend? Should it be repaired or replaced? I await ur opinion

I want to know the nature of exhaust or smoke type that should normally come from the silencer when you warm your car in the morning. My toyota pencil steams in the morning with water coming out of the exhaust. Is this normal? Pls, need responses from car gurus and those who have experienced such.
